DAGUENEAU got off the mark over hurdles when successful at Huntingdon in March and Emma Lavelle's gelding is hard to oppose today, despite having to carry a 7lb penalty for that victory. Beau Sancy is a four-time winner over fences and his last couple of efforts over hurdles have been encouraging. The rest appear to be up against it but Bendy Bow and Tango Echo Charlie are the pick of them.
Prediction : 1st Dagueneau 2nd Beau Sancy 3rd Bendy Bow

SEDDON was a high-class novice hurdler a couple of seasons ago, making the frame in Graded company on multiple occasions, and the seven-year-old merits the utmost respect today, despite the 453-day layoff. Beat The Judge was given a spin on the Flat at Kempton last month and is respected on the pick of his hurdles form, while chances are also given to Longhouse Sale and Leapaway.
Prediction : 1st Seddon 2nd Beat The Judge 3rd Longhouse Sale

POGO I AM disappointed on her final outing in 2019 but her bumper form had been encouraging and Harry Fry's mare can be given another chance in this moderate contest. Felicidad, like the selection, also has some good bumper form to her name and the five-year-old should not be underestimated. The shortlist is completed by Mighty Meg, Cuillin and Perfect Grace.
Prediction : 1st Pogo I Am 2nd Felicidad 3rd Cuillin

STAMINA CHOPE makes her first start for Dr Richard Newland having shown a decent level of ability over hurdles in France and this appears an ideal opportunity for her to get off the mark. Gaot bled from the nose on her UK debut at Wetherby last November and is worth forgiving that effort, while Joie De Vivre showed ability on the level and may benefit from wind surgery.
Prediction : 1st Stamina Chope 2nd Gaot 3rd Joie De Vivre

NINEOHTWOONEOH won in the style of a well-handicapped individual on his chasing bow at Southwell last week and the six-year-old has been found an ideal opportunity to back up under a 7lb penalty. Lough Har stepped forward considerably on his first run over fences when runner-up at Doncaster in January and he warrants plenty of respect along with Lantiern, who makes plenty of appeal switching his attention to fences, and Et Moi Alors, who has always been highly regarded by connections.
Prediction : 1st Nineohtwooneoh 2nd Lough Har 3rd Lantiern

WISECRACKER was last seen in winning form at Hereford in November and Ben Case's gelding could handle a 6lb rise for that success as he had been progressive on his two outings prior. Getaway North wasn't at his best at Sedgefield in March but he is better judged on his Catterick victory on his penultimate outing, while Elixer has placed on three of his last four starts and is expected to be competitive once again.
Prediction : 1st Wisecracker 2nd Getaway North 3rd Elixer

Course-and-distance winner SOLSTALLA could be the answer here and the eight-year-old, who has a respectable record when fresh, is 4lb lower than when scoring here in 2018. Chelsea's Boy and Jamacho have both had spins on the Flat recently and enter calculations here, while Cotton End has been given a chance by the assessor. Red Charmer and Giga White are others to note.
Prediction : 1st Solstalla 2nd Cotton End 3rd Jamacho

CAPTAIN BUCK'S has had a spell in the pointing field with Rose Loxton and if that has revived his enthusiasm the eight-year-old could prove to be well handicapped on his return to racing under Rules. The 12-year-old Cut The Corner is another who could prove nicely treated and has done well following a break in the past, while Flying Verse and Play The Ace have both won over track and trip and are respected.
Prediction : 1st Captain Bucks 2nd Cut The Corner 3rd Play The Ace

VALKENBURG hasn't been seen in this sphere for some time, but has shaped nicely on the all-weather recently and appears primed for a bold bid here. His best effort so far over timber has come over a similar distance and his team are no strangers to success at this time of year. Chill In The Wood looks well treated switching to hurdles on his reappearance, while Olly Murphy appears to have his string in good order and the fairly consistent Quivvy Lough is respected.
Prediction : 1st Valkenburg 2nd Chill In The Wood 3rd Quivvy Lough
