Fountain Cross is another proven winner who has to be respected, while Lost In Space is entitled to improve for his recent debut. Masqool is a half-brother to Queen Mary winner Maqaasid and is arguably the pick of the newcomers, although Headshot, Francesco Guardi and Dillydingdillydong merit market inspections.

CIRRUS found the Albany at Royal Ascot too challenging when last seen but Richard Hannon's filly had previously hit the crossbar in a maiden at Newmarket. The step up to 7f should help her and she can put her experience to good use. Her main rivals may be the some of the newcomers and in particular Soft Whisper, who is out of a winning half-sister to the four-time Group 2 winner Policy Maker. The shortlist is completed by Little Rollright, Prado and Whiskey 'n' Chips.

With Promise's win at Yarmouth last summer sets the standard on all known form, but it would be no surprise to see a couple of the newcomers come to the fore here with the pick of them AMERICAN ENTENTE. John Gosden's War Front filly is a sister to the multiple Group 1 winner Air Force Blue and this distance should be within her range. Roger Varian's Tinker Toy is also by War Front and out of a Group 1 and Royal Ascot winner which gives hope.

Desert Destination is a half-brother to Blue Point and rates as the pick of the newcomers, with Sycamore another interesting debutant.

The consistent Monsieur Lambrays was hunted down late on at Pontefract on his return to the track and makes plenty of appeal in a first-time visor, while High Commissioner is interesting stepping up in trip.

Woodhouse was disappointing on handicap debut at Doncaster, though he should have come on for that run and will likely relish this extra couple of furlongs. Queen Of The Sea has displayed potential on two starts and wears cheekpieces now, but Rae Guest has his string in fine form and a chance is taken on ARRIVISTE, who is bred to improve with age and over distances such as this. She beat a good field at Chelmsford in December and an opening handicap mark of 79 seems fair.

BAD ATTITUDE relished the drop to this distance when scoring at Chelmsford in March and could be worth sticking with now that the penny has dropped. A 6lb rise doesn't look too harsh for those exertions, and the three-year-old might have more to offer returned to turf. By Jove struck on handicap debut at Windsor when last seen and could take another step forward, while On The Right Track showed more when fourth at Leicester recently.
