BLONDE WARRIOR was rated 94 in his pomp when trained by Hugo Palmer and it is hard to believe that he can't be competitive off a rating of 83 for David O'Meara. Rousayan was fourth in a better race at Hamilton two weeks ago and handles varying ground conditions, while Rux Ruxx is fancied to build on his recent Musselburgh fourth.

IDEAL CANDY ran a huge race here on reappearance last month, when only finding a course specialist too good, and could make amends despite a 3lb rise. Railport Dolly was second at Doncaster three weeks ago but hasn't been done many favours by the draw, while Zihaam, who accounted for the selection last time, is also noted but hasn't won off a mark this high before.

Swan River has shown mild promise in three starts for Roger Varian and might have been let in lightly off an opening handicap mark of 63 now trying this distance for the first time, but she will probably be well found in the market, and it could be worth chancing recent Lingfield scorer UNION SPIRIT. The three-year-old relished that first try at 10 furlongs, dominating the field in style, and could take some passing if taking to this track. Trinity Girl could be staying on for some prize money.
