MAFIA POWER didn't appear to be entirely comfortable in the closing stages when fourth at Newmarket on handicap debut but he is worth another chance with the winner of that contest landing a strong handicap at the July meeting last week. Pot Of Paint has run with credit on all three course appearances since the resumption of racing and dropping back in trip might aid his cause, while handicap debutants Queen's Favour, a half-sister to Breeders' Cup Fillies & Mares winner Queen's Trust, and Arij appeal most of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Mafia Power 2nd Pot Of Paint 3rd Queens Favour

IMPERIAL FORCE was doing his best work at the finish when third in the Norfolk at Royal Ascot and this return to 6f, a trip over which he finished second on debut at Newmarket, can see him make it third-time lucky. Cairn Island shaped as though he would benefit from a drop in distance when fifth on his debut over 7f here, while Rhythm Master, a 210,000gns purchase at Tattersalls Book 2, is related to some useful sprinters and can enter the reckoning on his first start.
Prediction : 1st Imperial Force 2nd Cairn Island 3rd Rhythm Master

TREACHEROUS ran well to finish fourth in a strong handicap behind subsequent Group 3-placed Glen Shiel at Newcastle last month and the return to turf, on which he is well treated, can see the six-year-old bounce back to winning form. Buccaneers Vault has been in decent form and is respected with Oisin Murphy in the saddle, while Mina Velour remains open to progression on her first start for Julie Camacho.
Prediction : 1st Treacherous 2nd Buccaneers Vault 3rd Mina Velour

REVOLVER has thrived for a step up in trip of late and is unbeaten in three starts since joining the handicap ranks. Sir Mark Prescott's progressive performer has won on both appearances over similar distances and can make light work of a further 7lb rise from the assessor, having looked to have plenty in hand when scoring at Doncaster last time. Lyrical caught the eye when upped to 1m4f for her handicap debut at Newmarket last month, running out a comfortable winner, and a further two furlongs this time should suit. Finely Tuned and Red Missile finished second and fourth respectively when seen over an extended 1m3f here earlier this month, while Redcar winner Night Bear also warrants respect.
Prediction : 1st Revolver 2nd Lyrical 3rd Night Bear

EL MISK was only beaten a short head in the Listed Fred Archer Stakes at Newmarket on his reappearance and John Gosden's four-year-old, who has proved to be a consistent performer, rates as the one to beat here. Alignak made a winning transition to the handicap ranks at Newcastle last month and the half-brother to the Group 3-winning Algometer looks well worth pitching in at this level. Ispolini looks the pick of the Godolphin pair, while Trueshan is another useful operator who is capable of playing a part.
Prediction : 1st El Misk 2nd Alignak 3rd Trueshan

The form of HAPPY POWER's third behind Space Blues (first) and Safe Voyage (second) in the Listed Spring Trophy here looks rock solid considering the front two's subsequent exploits and Andrew Balding's four-year-old gets the nod following a respectable third in the Group 3 Criterion Stakes last time. Snazzy Jazzy was only a neck behind the selection when fourth in the aforementioned track encounter and returned to this venue to go down by just a neck over 6f recently. Course-and-distance winner D'bai leads a strong Godolphin challenge on the back of a fine second in a Longchamp Group 3, with stablemate Mubtasim and Saeed bin Suroor's Final Song also noted. The latter of real interest if conditions aren't too testing.
Prediction : 1st Happy Power 2nd Dbai 3rd Snazzy Jazzy

LAWAHED has run creditably on both starts at Newmarket this season, landing the silver medal on each occasion, and if she runs to her official rating of 83, William Haggas' filly will more than likely open her account at the third attempt. There was promise to take from Noble Masquerade's debut effort at Windsor and he warrants plenty of respect under William Buick, while any money for Richard Hannon's newcomer, Frozen Waters, would also be notable.
Prediction : 1st Lawahed 2nd Noble Masquerade 3rd Frozen Waters

COLD FRONT has finished second on all three starts to date and although he's in danger of being labelled a 'nearly horse', he has bumped into some nice types, including when beaten a neck on his first attempt over this trip at Yarmouth last time, so is given one final chance. Godolphin pipped the selection latest and have an interesting newcomer here in Future King, while Raaed outran market expectations (SP 50-1) when third here on debut and could also be thereabouts at the finish.
Prediction : 1st Cold Front 2nd Future King 3rd Raaed

OLOROSO benefitted from the step up from 7f when striking over this trip at Newbury nine days ago and he has a strong chance of following up now turned out swiftly under a 5lb penalty. Fellow penalty-carrier Garden Oasis won by over four lengths at Ripon recently and could put up plenty of resistance, as he's also well in. Moxy Mares, Pacino and Star Of Valour all look to be running into form and are worthy of shortlist inclusion.
Prediction : 1st Oloroso 2nd Garden Oasis 3rd Moxy Mares
