AMBER KITE looks like she can progress from her debut run over course and distance and go a couple of places better now. The daughter of New Bay showed up well first time when she had to use a bit of petrol early on to secure a prominent position. Having hit the lead briefly a furlong out she had to settle for third in the end behind Inner Beauty and looked like the experience would stand to her. She appears to be first string from the two Ger Lyons-trained fillies. Dress Kode may have gone a bit quick in the heavy ground at Roscommon and could improve on that. Finest would be a big contender on her first two runs but was a shade disappointing when fifth at Bellewstown last time and needs to improve on that showing.
Prediction : 1st Amber Kite 2nd Dress Kode 3rd Finest

REPUTE can step forward from a promising debut performance to claim this. Paddy Twomey's charge ran a nice race first time at Navan when third to Forest Of Dreams. He was caught on the outer then and only found his stride late on so stepping up almost a furlong now should help. Alex D got caught up in a duel up front at the Curragh last time and had little to offer late on. He could be capable of better now. Aidan O'Brien puts blinkers on Giorgio Vasari after a slightly disappointing show here 18 days ago. He had to be niggled along to hold a position early then and the headgear could make a difference. His runner-up effort on debut at Fairyhouse would make him a big player.
Prediction : 1st Repute 2nd Alex D 3rd Giorgio Vasari

Azila sets the standard here but has been well held in a couple of handicap starts since returning and has been tried in a variety of headgear. It may pay to side with LOUGH SWILLY PEARL who has run well on both outings this term. She bumped into a smart rival, when a massive price, on her return at Tipperary and was just collared late on over shorter at Sligo last time. Gillian Scott's charge wouldn't be winning out of turn now. The Ballydoyle filly Darkest was well held in handicap company last time but previous form gives her a big shout in this grade of maiden.
Prediction : 1st Lough Swilly Pearl 2nd Azila 3rd Darkest

This looks a nice opportunity for LOUGH CUTRA to get his head in front. Connections try blinkers on the Oasis Dream colt who has been in the money on all four career starts. He has been running in some hot maidens, to be fair to him, behind group performers like Ten Year Ticket and Russian Emperor. It was another solid effort at Naas last time and similar would be enough to collect now. Mosala holds the same rating of 83 and looks the obvious danger. Henry de Bromhead's charge wasn't beaten far when fifth in a Curragh maiden last time and the first and second have franked the form since. War Leader ran a decent race when third at Cork last time and looks place material again.
Prediction : 1st Lough Cutra 2nd Mosala 3rd War Leader

The weaker of the two divisions of this race and CALL ME ROCKY looks the one to beat. Johnny Murtagh's charge may have been no match for impressive winner Bolivar at Roscommon last time but it was still a solid run to finish third and there were plenty in around him with decent placed form previously. The danger here could be the newcomer Big White Chief from the in-form Jessica Harrington yard. The War Front colt is a full-brother to the Listed placed Leo Minor and their Listed winning dam is a half-sister to Derby winner Pour Moi. Another to consider is the Dermot Weld-trained Thaleeq who may appreciate stepping up in trip now having stayed on when fourth over the sharp five at Bellewstown on his return.
Prediction : 1st Call Me Rocky 2nd Big White Chief 3rd Thaleeq

LADY ARONA and Musalsal are closely matched on running at Gowran Park last time, and the former just gets the vote on 5lbs better terms (including her rider's claim). Gavin Cromwell's filly ran a career best in second that day when just collared late, and might be able reverse placings with Musalsal, who had been threatening to win a race and obliged under a patient ride, but will need luck in running again. The topweight Travelwise won twice in quick succession last July, and is respected on his reappearance with more scope for improvement this year. Hidden Spark is a highly consistent filly and will be a popular each-way play, while Ask Delaney has caught the eye from off the pace a couple of times, most notably last time out when not beaten far over course and distance.
Prediction : 1st Lady Arona 2nd Musalsal 3rd Travelwise

Maybe reverting to a mile will help DIVINE CELT, who seems to be on a winnable mark and whose last run at Roscommon is working out well. Fourth to Jan Wellens over a quarter mile further that day, the luckless second Dazzling Darren has since been pipped for the third time this season back at Roscommon and the third Little Brother has gone in at Sligo. Colin Keane keeps the mount on the Lawman filly. Ya Ya Baby has to give 16lbs to the selection but may still be the main threat after a good second at Gowran, and her previous fourth at the same track has worked out very well with the second and third winning since. Scholastic and Dragon Of Malta have claims on some of last year's nursery form, while among the handicap debutants the likes of Lansing, Erytheia and Sienna Lady are worthy of consideration.
Prediction : 1st Divine Celt 2nd Ya Ya Baby 3rd Scholastic

Dual hurdles winner (once at this track) PENNY OUT can make a winning handicap debut on the Flat. She ran a couple of nice races in maidens here last month when not having the clearest of runs, and the gaps should be easier to find in the closing stages of this stamina test. Winning hurdler and chaser A Place Apart stays very well and 1m4f was probably too short for him when third at Leopardstown, while the sharp track at Bellewstown may not have suited Lalipour and he's better judged on his win at Navan (third home Allora Yeats has won twice since). Give Battle was a very consistent handicap hurdler last summer, and was a fair fourth to Allora Yeats over 1m6f at Bellewstown.
Prediction : 1st Penny Out 2nd A Place Apart 3rd Give Battle
