SONAIYLA collected Listed honours against her own sex at Cork earlier this month and could defy a big weight to go in again here for Paddy Twomey. A six-figure purchase out of Mick Halford's yard last winter, the four-year-old looks a shrewd buy and won't mind going back up in trip. Music To My Ears beat a smart filly over further here last time and remains well handicapped, while Orchid Gardens (fourth) was behind her last time but has plenty of scope for improvement.

However, the pair will need to be at their best to stop FRENETIC, who was a runaway winner of a Listed contest here over 5f last month and the extra furlong is unlikely to inconvenience Ger Lyons' filly.

Make A Challenge has a real love affair with this venue and Denis Hogan's progressive sprinter landed his fourth track victory when taking the Listed Midsummer Sprint Stakes last weekend. He seems sure to be thereabouts once again, but preference is for the raiding A'ALI, who was back to his best when taking the Group 3 Coral Charge at Sandown. Simon & Ed Crisford's three-year-old was a top performer at two and has the chance to establish himself as one of the sprint division's best operators. Southern Hills can't be ignored dropping back in trip, while Naas runner-up Rapid Reaction and Jessie Harrington's filly Punita Arora both hold place possibilities.

LEMISTA has returned in rude health for Ger Lyons this year and backed up her Group 3 win at Naas in March with a Listed victory at Gowran last month. Ger Lyons' charge could face stern resistance from Leopardstown Group 3 scorer One Voice, though the latter is dropping back from 1m 2f so she may just have her measure. Lovelier and Ridenza have shown enough ability to merit inclusion on the shortlist and look the most likely contenders for the bronze medal.

Fame And Acclaim returns to handicap company after winning a rated race with ease at Cork. He's now 12lb higher than when second at Naas earlier this month, while prolific handicap winner Star Of Cashel is up a total of 25lb for his three successes. There are some unexposed types lurking lower down the list, including Dermot Weld's Baraniya, a winner at Roscommon last time, and FRANK ARTHUR. Ger Lyons' gelding has improved with each of his three runs and did the job well at Roscommon last time. A mark of 81 might underestimate him.
