Captain Magnum ran a cracking race to finish second here last time, despite losing a shoe and starting slowly. That came on soft ground, though, so he is faces very different conditions. Toussarok won nicely on debut at Newcastle and the second has since run respectably enough in the Woodcote at Epsom, but slight preference is for DARVEL. Kevin Ryan's colt did just about everything wrong on debut, being awkward out of the gate and running very green, but he should come on for that outing and represents a stable in good form.

Prissy Missy got up late on to score at Catterick and could be good value for a 2lb rise, while Who Told Jo Jo has been in excellent form all year and notched his second success of the season at Windsor last time. Pearl Of Qatar went close at Hamilton last time and gets another chance off the same mark, but SEE MY BABY JIVE has also seen her rating remain unchanged following a fair third on her handicap debut over 5f here. Donald Whillans' filly could relish the return to this trip and land the spoils.

MY DANDY DOC caused a 50/1 upset when charging home to score at Doncaster last time and John Quinn's filly may be worth following now she's picked up the winning thread. Jordan Electrics got within half a length of success and could go well off the same mark here, while Angels Faces wasn't beaten far at Musselburgh last time and a 1lb rise for that effort looks fair.

Chase The Dollar was sent off a really short price on debut at Musselburgh and though he could only muster second there, he could build on that effort. Pythagoras is an interesting newcomer for Richard Fahey, who also saddles Doncaster fifth Spectrometer, but preference is for SUMMA PETO. Keith Dalgleish's charge missed out by a short head in a match over course and distance last time and the quicker forecast ground here should help.

LAGENDA had Jessie Allan (third) and Swinging Eddie (fourth) behind when successful over C&D last time and though a 4lb penalty won't make life easy, he finished the race off really well latest and could have more to offer. Hachert ran a really solid race on his handicap debut over this track and trip and is a threat, as is Aliento, who is now only 2lb higher than when successful over this trip at Thirsk last summer.

CATCH MY BREATH has been edging closer to success this season, finishing third at Yarmouth before filling the runner-up spot off today's mark at Kempton last time. John Ryan's charge is taken to take this at the expense of Philip's Wish, who was soundly beaten on his seasonal reappearance on soft ground at Hamilton, but may be better judged by his near miss on a sounder surface there last term. Dreamseller won narrowly at Thirsk two starts ago and may have been caught out by soft ground at Hamilton last time.

Pour Me A Drink had Glasses Up over two lengths in arrears when successful on soft ground over track and trip last time and could confirm his superiority despite being 6lb worse off. Thai Terrier won his maiden with consummate ease at Chelmsford in January and is respected on his handicap debut here, but RETURNOFTHEMAC could be the one to side with. David O'Meara's gelding certainly wasn't stopping when second at Haydock last time and the Pontefract maiden winner could relish the extra two furlongs here.

One Last Hug found only one too good when tried over this track and trip last time, where he had Lizzie Loch a neck behind him in third. Both have claims in this, though Iolani was a good winner over 1m6f at Thirsk and is an obvious danger, though preferred ahead of all of those is SMART LASS. Iain Jardine's mare returned to the level after some mixed fortunes over hurdles with a good third over a furlong shorter at Thirsk last time and having won with ease over this trip at Musselburgh last term, she could take some stopping in this.
