It only adds to his claims and he can account for Poet's Magic, who has been in good form since joining John Quinn and should be suited by this circuit. Stablemate Our Dave is also noted after a recent C&D victory.

Karl Burke is having a typically excellent season with juveniles, and his record can continue with BOOGIE TIME expected to build on his debut third at Hamilton a month ago. The Kodiac colt attracted market support before running a fine race there and, being out of a 6f winner, should enjoy this extra furlong. Science was beaten a short-head on debut at Kempton before finding the Coventry at Royal Ascot too overbearing, while Royal Guard cost 110,000 euros as a yearling and could prove best of the two newcomers.

MIDNITE BRIDE travelled sweetly when finishing second behind a well-handicapped winner at Hamilton last month and suggested there that she could find an opening soon. Kevin Ryan's filly sits handily at the bottom of the weights and, now wearing first-time cheekpieces, is fancied to prove too hot for this field. Another of the classic generation, Lincoln Gamble, finished third of 17 at Doncaster recently on his handicap debut and could give her something to ponder. Lucky Beggar is in the twilight of his career but showed plenty of zest when third over C&D recently.

It will be disappointing for all connected to STARS IN THE NIGHT if she can't win a maiden like this. She brings a mark of 73 to the table and should do the business if repeating the level of performance shown when finishing a close-up second at Ayr latest. Northern Charm and Unapologetic are entitled to have improved for their respectable debut efforts and will be there to pounce should the selection falter.

Abel Handy would be no surprise winner in a handicap of this nature, but attempting to successfully give weight away to the in-form INDIAN SOUNDS will be no easy task. A 5lb penalty might not be enough to stop this progressive gelding. Jungle Speed is also noted.
