Unlike his main rival, he has plenty of experience under his belt and arguably produced a career-best performance when runner-up over fences here recently. Hooper's Legend has a long absence to overcome, but showed promise in three 2016 appearances and holds each-way claims.

Solstalla brings winning C&D form to the table and placed off a 2lb higher mark at Stratford recently. With Shane Quinlan taking a further 5lb off her back, she must enter calculations, while Sellingallthetime also merits consideration following a solid Flat effort on Tuesday.

RAVING BONKERS was in the process of running a decent race at Southwell when making a bad mistake two out, pulling up as a result. The seven-year-old appears to have a solid chance off the same mark of 89. Vanderbilt had a spin on the Flat last month and, with a tongue-tie/cheekpieces combination tried for the first time, he warrants respect, while Annajemima could be worth a market check on her first outing since December. She sports first-time cheekpieces.

EASYRUN DE VASSY raced a little lazily at times on his reappearance at Southwell earlier this month and therefore the six-year-old could benefit from the application of first-time blinkers now, having dropped to the mark he was beaten only a neck off at Taunton in November. Sammylou was on the scoresheet over course and distance last time and is given the utmost respect following a 6lb rise. Chill In The Wood made a statement on her return to the track with an emphatic 10-length win at Stratford, but could find this tougher after being handed a 10lb hike from the assessor.

Things didn't go to plan over fences in the winter for Moabit, but this looks a suitable assignment and his Bangor reappearance in this sphere was respectable, while Percy Street has a recent spin on the Flat in his favour. Ballon Onabudget was a winner over course and distance here last summer and now makes his reappearance having been given plenty of time off the track following a terrible fall at Kempton in October.

ASHUTOR impressed over slightly further when an eight-length winner over hurdles here earlier this month and it is interesting that Paul Nicholls now switches the six-year-old to fences following that confidence-boosting triumph. Beat The Judge wasn't beaten far on his first chasing appearance at Stratford last month and warrants respect, while Diamond Gait was a place further back in fourth that day and can't be ignored. Leapaway was well held in sixth in that encounter and looks to have plenty to find, but the best of his hurdles form would give him a chance.

SOLDIER OF LOVE got his career back on track when successful at Bangor-on-Dee earlier this month and should appreciate this extra yardage. He needed every bit of 3m to see off the challenge of Monty's Award 12 days ago, and can take this under a 7lb penalty. Flying Verse was a promising second on stable debut for Tom Symonds at Stratford last time out and has won over this C&D before, while Mr Mafia is another name worth noting.

Gold Mountain was second in that event and remains on a career-low mark, but isn't straightforward and wears a first-time visor, while Barton Rose likes a decent terrain and could also go close.

Her dam was a bumper winner and it would be surprising if she didn't have the pace to cope with this sort of test before going hurdling. Beholden was successful over C&D earlier this month but has a 7lb penalty to contend with, while Southfield Megan is related to some nice types and should enjoy a solid debut under Nico de Boinville.
