LOST IN SPACE took a big step forward from his Yarmouth debut when beaten a short-head at Salisbury a fortnight ago, relishing the step up in trip, and is fancied to get off the mark at the third time of asking for John Gosden. The two-year-old would be hard to beat if running to his official rating of 81 and appeals that bit more than Alablaq, who cost 120,000gns as a yearling and was second over C&D on his racecourse bow earlier this month. 2021 Derby entrant Albasheer may prove best of the newcomers.

This can go to one of the penalised runners, with TINKER TOY fancied to build on his promising debut victory at Salisbury for a trainer with an excellent record in South Yorkshire. Roger Varian's charge wasn't without market support when scoring earlier this month and, being out of a Group 1 winner, is fancied to keep progressing. Alkhat narrowly got off the mark at the second time of asking at Wolverhampton 45 days ago, while Al Tarmaah is a half-brother to Group 3 winner Washington DC and may prove best of the debutants.

NAPPING has impressively notched a Windsor/Lingfield double and, with talented apprentice Dylan Hogan aboard, she might be able to complete the hat-trick in this competitive handicap. Danecase won gamely on his stable debut for Tom Symonds at Yarmouth and Cieren Fallon's valuable 3lb claim effectively makes him 1lb better off here. He merits shortlist inclusion along with easy Newcastle scorer Devil's Angel and Redrosezorro, who wears a hood/cheekpieces combination for the first time.

The first-time tongue-tie/visor combination worked a treat for DICK DATCHERY at Ayr recently and with both pieces of tack used again, he is fancied to follow up off a 6lb higher mark. Big Impact has a progressive, unexposed profile and warrants plenty of respect having been gelded since his Southwell maiden win in February, while Many A Star could be worth a second look in the betting market making his first start since November. He has also been gelded in the interim.

Beauty Choice bravely made virtually all of the running when scoring at Chepstow last time and Cieren Fallon's claim negates the 3lb rise, while Colouring ended 2019 with a deserved win at Wolverhampton and is worth a market check at least on her return. However, in receipt of weight off both her main rivals, STAR PRIZE gets the nod. Nigel Tinkler's filly has done nothing but improve in four starts to date and a 4lb rise looks fairly lenient after scoring readily at Bath earlier in the month.

TRUE BELIEVER was well fancied for her last assignment at Hamilton and although she finished a disappointing third, the return to this flatter track, at which she finished a neck second off 2lb lower in June, could spark an improved showing. First-time cheekpieces could sharpen up Hlaitan, who ran a creditable race when third at Newbury recently, while Hibernian Warrior appears to be on an upward curve and is feasibly treated off 78 on his handicap debut.

Zihaam has been in great form for Roger Fell and Nick Bradley Racing this term, following up his cosy 1m2f victory at Beverley with a career-best performance back on the Westwood over the same trip eight days ago. The handicapper has nudged him up 8lb, though, and, for all he's expected to fare best of the older horses, he might just struggle to concede weight to some of the three-year-olds lurking further down the handicap. Sir Michael Stoute's NASHY could be the best treated of them, though cases can also be made for Mac Ailey and Strawberry Rock.

The Iffraaj colt can enhance his reputation here, on his journey towards a tilt at the St Leger later in the year. Sea Of Style cost 220,000 guineas and shaped with promise when third at Newbury earlier this month. A sister to the Group 2-winning Endless Time, she should appreciate the step up in trip here and rates as the main danger to the selection. Solar Screen and Dusk both appear likely improvers, with Golden Horn filly Gold Ribbon worthy of a market check on her first outing.

Alan King's charge is 5lb higher now, but was strong at the finish last time and the stable's horses continue to run well. Colony Queen missed out on a four-timer at Ayr earlier this month, but wasn't disgraced when fourth on that occasion and is respected once again, while Almareekh opened her account at Yarmouth when last seen and is of interest on her handicap debut.
