GLENGAR built on his reappearance fourth here when pouncing late to score over course and distance last time, and Neil Mulholland's six-year-old could have a bit in hand under a 7lb penalty. Jen's Boy brings some solid hurdles form to the table and is a big player on his fences debut. Oscar Maguire flopped at Newcastle when last seen, but a line can be put through that effort and his earlier form offers encouragement.
Prediction : 1st Glengar 2nd Jens Boy 3rd Oscar Maguire

The form of TIKKINTHEBOX's four-length Uttoxeter win over Little Stevie took a boost when the second scored at Market Rasen on Monday, and Jeremy Scott's eight-year-old can follow up here off a 7lb higher mark. Lord Condi bounced back to his very best when scoring over course and distance recently and is likely to be a player once again, while Youracert was fourth on that occasion and could finish a little closer now with that run under his belt.
Prediction : 1st Tikkinthebox 2nd Lord Condi 3rd Youracert

SHOAL BAY was over seven lengths clear of the opposition when scoring over course and distance last time and the seven-year-old, who thrived in the summer months last year, is likely to take plenty of beating under a 7lb penalty. Irish Prophecy arrives on the back of a win at Newton Abbot and Emma Lavelle's horses have been running well since the restart. Dieg Man appears well treated and could get involved, while One Forty Seven was a winner over a similar trip on his penultimate start.
Prediction : 1st Shoal Bay 2nd Irish Prophecy 3rd One Forty Seven

Dr Richard Newland representative STAMINA CHOPE is entitled to strip fitter for her reappearance effort over a similar trip at Stratford earlier in the month and is expected to go close on these terms if running close to her official rating. The fitting of a hood could unlock some improvement from Angel's Whisper, who has won twice on the Flat recently and is debuting over obstacles, though the main danger may be Pogo I Am, who won at Stratford in a relatively good time on the same card as the selection latest.
Prediction : 1st Stamina Chope 2nd Pogo I Am 3rd Angels Whisper

GOSPELUS showed plenty of promise in French bumpers, winning once and performing with credit in a Grade 2 contest, and is worth monitoring closely in the betting now debuting for a new stable on his first start in the UK. Former Hughie Morrison representative Apres Le Deluge is fitted with a first-time tongue-tie and debuts for Fergal O'Brien so is another to keep tabs on. Penalised Musselburgh maiden hurdle scorer Ask Henry should also be thereabouts.
Prediction : 1st Gospelus 2nd Ask Henry 3rd Apres Le Deluge

CAIUS MARCIUS had Highly Prized back in fifth when landing the bronze medal over a similar trip at Market Rasen last time and looks the most likely winner on the back of that effort. Gunnery was hit hard by the handicapper for winning at Doncaster in December and needs to leave behind his subsequent effort at Sandown, but he's no forlorn hope for a place.
Prediction : 1st Caius Marcius 2nd Highly Prized 3rd Gunnery

Gavrocheka is entitled to obvious respect after scoring at Market Rasen earlier this month, but she didn't win with plenty in hand and that race looked weak for the grade. Higgs was third in that same event, but he would have been fit enough that day despite an absence and may not have much more to offer. The vote instead goes to IMPERIAL ELYSIAN, who seemed progressive earlier this year. The six-year-old looked ahead of this mark when successful at Kempton in February and could defy an 11lb rise.
Prediction : 1st Imperial Elysian 2nd Gavrocheka 3rd Higgs

Riddlestown has failed to complete on four of his last five starts and isn't getting any younger, but he generally likes it here and is interesting back over hurdles off a low mark of 90. King Golan ran his best race for some time when second at Wetherby in March and will go close if in the same sort of mood, but THE DISTANT LADY won easily here 11 days ago and has been well placed again by Graeme McPherson. A 7lb penalty won't concern connections too much and drying ground will help her.
Prediction : 1st The Distant Lady 2nd King Golan 3rd Riddlestown

A first-time hood made the difference to TARA NIECE in victory at Newton Abbot earlier this month and Emma Lavelle's charge will take the beating once again despite a 5lb rise. The seven-year-old remains unexposed on just her second start in a handicap, and is fancied to prove too strong for recent Market Rasen runner-up Black Anthem, who wasn't fluent over fences on that occasion and reverts to hurdles now. Bendy Bow has displayed enough in novice hurdles to make him of interest now sent handicapping off a mark of 96 and he completes the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Tara Niece 2nd Black Anthem 3rd Bendy Bow
