Anghaam also displayed plenty of promise on her introduction at Doncaster and she is an obvious threat to the selection. Senita is a very interesting newcomer as a daughter of Frankel, and her dam is a full-sister to the six-time Group 1 winner Midday.

In an open race, marginal preference is for GHALY, who looked to play a leading role at York last time but faded in the final couple of furlongs over 1m2f. The drop in trip will help him and that performance suggests that his current mark should be workable. Byzantine Empire failed to fire at Windsor but he is a player based on his previous form. Oslo and Balgair complete the shortlist.

LIGHTNESS has only been narrowly denied in her last three starts and the first-time switch to handicap company can see the daughter of Shamardal get off the mark. Baarrij is an obvious threat to the selection following her victory at Windsor in June and she remains open to plenty of improvement. All of the remainder have claims but Dutch Painting is arguably the pick of them.

SHE'S SO NICE shaped well when second on debut behind a filly who has since gone close in Group 3 company, and showed a nice attitude to build on that when striking over C&D a few weeks later. Karl Burke's progressive youngster doesn't seem too badly treated off 82 and she is fancied to prove too good for Famille Rose, who has found only one too good on each of her two starts so far. Basilicata was denied at Kempton and may want further.

Stone Circle wasn't beaten too far in a competitive handicap on the Rowley Mile in June and could run another solid race. A few of these don't have many miles on the clock, though, and the twice-raced BAASHIR makes plenty of appeal. A winner at Salisbury on fast ground last month, Charlie Hills' Muhaarar colt travelled stylishly there and has more to offer over 7f before going up in distance. Stoweman may have needed the run at Lingfield and should do better.

COSMIC PRINCESS showed plenty of improvement from her debut to strike on her Newbury reappearance and can continue on her upward curve. Hughie Morrison's three-year-old looked better the further she went a fortnight ago, and should appreciate this extra couple of furlongs now under Andrea Atzeni for the first time. Katara hammered her opponents at Kempton and couldn't be in much better hands to continue her progression. The more experienced Makawee is another worth keeping on side.

MOONLIGHT SPIRIT came up short in Group 3 company at York but if the first-time blinkers, together with this drop in grade, spark improvement, Charlie Appleby's stayer should go really close. Dubious Affair has been progressive in handicaps and is ready for a crack at this higher level, while Withhold could be a tactical danger to all in this small field, even though his three runs this year have been disappointing. Vivid Diamond would be a surprise winner.

RHYTHMIC INTENT returned to winning ways over 1m2f at York on his second run back from a break, despite the trip arguably being on the sharp side for him. He has a 5lb rise to contend with but has been talked about as a possible Ebor contender by his trainer and is expected to relish the return to 1m4f and follow up. Mayfair Spirit has been raised 4lb for scoring at Windsor and can fight it out for the minor money with the unexposed Make Haste Slowly.
