Aegeus didn't look straightforward at the finish on his final two starts for Jedd O'Keeffe but is worth a look in the market on stable debut for Mick Appleby, who often does so well with new recruits. Corked struck over C&D on quick ground back in June, although that was her first success on grass after 13 attempts and she isn't sure to follow up. MAKTHECAT might have won here with a more patient ride last month when third, and he looks poised to strike soon, especially back over 10 furlongs.
Prediction : 1st Makthecat 2nd Aegeus 3rd Corked

BROWN HONEY is one of the more unexposed runners in this field and should be all the wiser for her handicap debut/reappearance here in June. Slowly away on that occasion, she ran to a solid level in two of her three starts last year, including when third behind the now 80-rated Maximum Effect. Tough Remedy's mark has dropped 18lb in the last year and he could start showing more soon, while Elegant Love wasn't at all disgraced when third on stable debut for Tony Carroll over C&D recently.
Prediction : 1st Brown Honey 2nd Tough Remedy 3rd Elegant Love

Tom Dascombe and Richard Kingscote are notorious for their exploits here and SOLENT GATEWAY is fancied to get off the mark after two near misses. The son of Awtaad was second here behind a potentially useful winner last month and, with the fourth from that contest already coming out and winning, the chances are that it was an above-average contest. Al Saariyah showed early speed on debut at Leicester and should be wiser for those exertions, while Royal Musketeer's dam won over this trip as a juvenile.
Prediction : 1st Solent Gateway 2nd Al Saariyah 3rd Royal Musketeer

MAKANAH travelled stylishly when fourth at York in a typically competitive handicap last month and has slightly less on his plate here for Julie Camacho. A progressive sprinter, he did best of those who initially raced in the centre group there, and based on his Newmarket success before that, remains firmly on the upgrade. Arecibo has gone off favourite the last three times at Doncaster, Ascot and York but hasn't capitalised yet, while rattling fast ground would be a slight negative for William Haggas' Aplomb.
Prediction : 1st Makanah 2nd Arecibo 3rd Aplomb

RIVAL only found the talented William Bligh too good here a month ago on debut and the 100,000 pounds yearling is fancied to go one better for Andrew Balding. He was comfortably best of the remainder on that occasion, shaping as though the experience would do him good, and that track experience will stand him in good stead. Broomy Law cost 200,000gns and must be respected on debut for the in-form Kevin Ryan, while any market support for local runner The Nu Form Way would also be well worth noting.
Prediction : 1st Rival 2nd Broomy Law 3rd The Nu Form Way

BOLLY BULLET deserves to win a race like this on the evidence of his admirable performances in defeat at Dundalk and Yarmouth this year. The latter of those second-placed efforts was his first start for George Scott and there should be more to come from the gelding as his new handler gets to know him a bit more. First-time cheekpieces should help and he gets a confident vote ahead of Due Care and Newton Jack.
Prediction : 1st Bolly Bullet 2nd Due Care 3rd Newton Jack

GLOWETH could hardly have been more impressive when scoring at Chepstow in June with the drop to a mile really helping her. Knowing that she stays a bit further, Kieran O'Neill was able to bounce out and make all on the mare and she ran away from her rivals in the final furlong. Another bold showing from the front looks assured here, but keep an eye on the returning Gamesters Icon and unexposed Saeed bin Suroor inmate Picture Frame.
Prediction : 1st Gloweth 2nd Gamesters Icon 3rd Picture Frame

SONGKRAN has progressed no end this year for talented handler George Boughey and can go in again while evidently on good terms with himself. The step up in trip can ensure he remains a step ahead of the assessor, so last-start C&D winner Dreamweaver might be forced to settle for a supporting role this time giving the selection weight. Potenza is another to take seriously.
Prediction : 1st Songkran 2nd Dreamweaver 3rd Potenza

LA DRAGONTEA was beaten by a potentially smart horse in the shape of Katara at Kempton two starts ago and might not need to improve much on that effort to land the spoils. Do You Love Me has shown plenty of promise on two starts thus far and won't be far away the line, while Coconut boasts a similar profile and Dhabyah is an interesting newcomer representing a yard going great guns at present.
Prediction : 1st La Dragontea 2nd Do You Love Me 3rd Coconut
