VEDUTE has hit the crossbar on both starts since showing plenty of promise on his debut at Newmarket and Michael Bell's gelding should take plenty of stopping this afternoon. Accrington Stanley put in a career best when second over 5f here a couple of weeks ago and he could prove to be the main threat to the selection. Any market support for Ladywood, who cost 67,000gns last year and is a half-sister to the Group 2 winner Bow Creek, would have to be noted.
Prediction : 1st Vedute 2nd Accrington Stanley 3rd Ladywood

AL DAWODIYA made the frame in a handicap off a mark of 81 at Windsor last time and if she can run up to that level today then she will take plenty of stopping. Spinacia has a bit to find with the selection according to ratings but she may improve for the application of first-time blinkers. The market could be a key guide to the newcomers but Ammayya is arguably the pick of them.
Prediction : 1st Al Dawodiya 2nd Spinacia 3rd Ammayya

PRINCELY has only found one to good on both of his starts this year, including over course and distance last time, and the five-year-old should be in the mix once again this afternoon. Storm At Dawn improved with every start in novice/maiden company and she merits respect on her handicap debut. The shortlist is completed by The Lacemaker, My Style and Zulu Zander.
Prediction : 1st Princely 2nd Storm At Dawn 3rd The Lacemaker

GINNIANO has displayed signs of promise in three start for Charlie Hills and an opening handicap mark of 62 seems fair. The three-year-old showed plenty of early pace at Lingfield two starts ago and shouldn't mind this drop to 5f now trying turf for the first time since her debut. Port Noir was successful over C&D last month and is consistent enough to be up there again despite a 4lb rise, while four-time course winner Jaganory is another well worth noting.
Prediction : 1st Ginniano 2nd Port Noir 3rd Jaganory

ROBERT GUISCARD is due to be raised 3lb by the assessor so it is no surprise to see the three-year-old turned out quickly here. Mark Johnston's gelding was a close second at Yarmouth last week, forcing the pace before just being picked off, and could shed his maiden tag at the 10th time of asking. Some Picture enjoyed a first attempt at this distance when fourth at Kempton recently, while Barking Mad returned to form at Chepstow last time.
Prediction : 1st Robert Guiscard 2nd Some Picture 3rd Barking Mad

OVERWRITE lost little in defeat when a half-length second at Goodwood on Saturday and, due to go up 4lb in the near future, he looks like the one they all have to beat. Clem A is an interesting player on his stable debut for Milton Harris. He won on his latest outing at Wolverhampton in March and is equipped with a first-time hood on his turf return. He and Just The Man, who is slowly creeping down the handicap, are seen as the main dangers.
Prediction : 1st Overwrite 2nd Clem A 3rd Just The Man

LOVERS' GAIT left last year's three novice/maiden performances well behind when scoring readily on her seasonal/handicap debut over C&D last month and, despite a 9lb hike in the ratings, she is fancied to complete the double. Rock Of Fame has been touched off on both starts since returning and she is the obvious danger, while Diva Kareem (was also engaged to run at Lingfield on Wednesday) might prove best of the remaining trio.
Prediction : 1st Lovers Gait 2nd Rock Of Fame 3rd Diva Kareem

LISMORE ran out an easy winner over 2m at Chepstow on Saturday and, 2lb well in under a 6lb penalty, she is hard to oppose. Lord Warburton has improved since switching to handicap company and won bravely over 1m4f at Ripon latest. He now wears cheekpieces for the first time and rates the biggest threat, ahead of Nikolayeva, who is capable if not the most consistent.
Prediction : 1st Lismore 2nd Lord Warburton 3rd Nikolayeva
