ANNA OF LORRAINE shaped with plenty of encouragement when fourth at Yarmouth in what was just her second start and first appearance for a long time in June. She got tired after racing close to the pace for most of that contest and the move up to a mile and switch to handicapping could see her off the mark here. Puerto Banus disappointed when favourite last time, but there was a lot to like about his pair of seconds before that and could give a solid account here. Bertog and recent Musselburgh third Captain Corelli are others to note.
Prediction : 1st Anna Of Lorraine 2nd Puerto Banus 3rd Bertog

LE REVEUR made it back-to-back victories since a visor has gone on when successful at Ayr last month and Sir Mark Prescott's three-year-old can continue on his upward curve to land a hat-trick off a 7lb higher mark. Star Of Valour built on an eye-catching third at Doncaster when grinding it out for the win over course and distance last time. Lynn Siddall's five-year-old has only gone up 3lb for that triumph and should be competitive once again. Trevithick and Newbury third Toro Dorado are others who make appeal and are likely to be thereabouts.
Prediction : 1st Le Reveur 2nd Star Of Valour 3rd Toro Dorado

YES MY BOY, who is yet to finish outside of the top two, has chased home two top prospects in handicap company since scoring at Lingfield in June and is more than capable of landing this off his current mark. So Beloved's rating continues to fall and he has caught the eye in defeat the last twice, while Huboor is getting closer to a return to the winner's enclosure and has run with respect at both Royal Ascot and Newbury recently. Nicklaus is a useful yardstick at this level and is another to note dropping back to a mile, with first-time blinkers now tried.
Prediction : 1st Yes My Boy 2nd So Beloved 3rd Nicklaus

VERACIOUS made a breakthrough at the highest level in the Falmouth last July and the daughter of Frankel was not disgraced in the Sun Chariot or Queen Elizabeth II at the back of the year. She has been beaten in all three of her previous seasonal debuts but this is a drop in grade and it would be no surprise to see the five-year-old prove to be a class above her rivals. Final Song may be at her very best over 7f but she was fourth in the 1000 Guineas and would be the most likely beneficiary if the selection were to need the run. Others to note are Festive Star, Farzeen and Foxtrot Lady.
Prediction : 1st Veracious 2nd Final Song 3rd Festive Star

Global Giant accounted for Extra Elusive when winning a Listed race over 1m2f at Newbury last month and it would be no surprise to see that pair in the mix once again, especially as the third from that contest won a Group 3 at Goodwood recently. That said, the marginal preference is for ZAAKI, who was not disgraced when sixth in a top-class renewal of the Group 2 Summer Mile at Ascot last time. With a clearer run he would have been in the mix for the places behind the clear winner Mohaather on that occasion and the step back up in trip should not be a problem.
Prediction : 1st Zaaki 2nd Global Giant 3rd Extra Elusive

Sansevero did not beat the strongest of fields when making a winning debut at Chelmsford in February but he has to be of some interest in this contest, despite carrying a 5lb penalty. AJYAALL's sales price increased from 100,000gns as a yearling to 300,000 euros at the breeze ups and his dam is a half-sister to the Group 1-winning sprinter Signs Of Blessing. King Fan is entitled to improve for his debut experience and he completes the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Ajyaall 2nd Sansevero 3rd King Fan

NORTHERNPOWERHOUSE had been progressing well until producing a disappointing effort at York on his most recent outing. However, the four-year-old is entitled to bounce back to form as he was in search of a hat-trick of wins prior to that effort. Breath Of Air may prove happier back on a flatter track with Ryan Moore reunited in the saddle, while others to note include Arbalet and Sermon.
Prediction : 1st Northernpowerhouse 2nd Breath Of Air 3rd Arbalet

ARISTOCRATIC LADY has improved plenty since being dropped back to 6f in two starts this year, winning a maiden at Leicester before following up on handicap debut at Yarmouth, and the booking of Ryan Moore has to be noted in her bid to make it three on the bounce. So Sharp achieved a fair level of form for Archie Watson as a juvenile and is respected having switched to James Tate since her last start at Kempton, while Wedding Date cannot be discounted having finished eighth in the Stewards' Cup at Goodwood last Saturday.
Prediction : 1st Aristocratic Lady 2nd So Sharp 3rd Wedding Date

NIBRAS AGAIN has been steadily improving his form of late and returned to the winner's enclosure at Beverley on his latest outing. A 4lb rise appears fair for Paul Midgley's gelding who could have more to offer based on that effort. Our Little Pony can enter the reckoning on the evidence of her recent performances, while Seen The Lyte and Canford Bay appeal most of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Nibras Again 2nd Our Little Pony 3rd Canford Bay
