ORNUA might be able to register a confidence boosting win here. Better known for his exploits over fences, the nine-year-old chestnut returned to the smaller obstacles at Tipperary in June, finishing eighth of fourteen behind Aramon. That was a quality contest and he had three subsequent winners in behind, including recent Galway Plate winner Early Doors. The selection since finished a creditable third over fences at Killarney when attempting to defy top-weight, and he should be able to go a few places better now with Dylan Robinson taking three pounds off. Willie Mullins is double-handed with Sayo and Mister Blue Sky. Paul Townend has opted to partner the former and he ran a respectable race without making the frame at Galway on his last start. Mengli Khan won over the course and distance last month and it would come as little surprise if he managed to repeat the feat. Jaime Sommers and Dolciano Dici are readily opposed.

COOLBANE BOY and Santana Plessis appear the two to focus on here, with preference for the Liam Burke trained former. The selection showed a good attitude to win a bumper at Thurles in January and since ran a fine race to finish second on his return to action at Gowran last month. He has been given a mark of 114 by the handicapper and it'll be disappointing if he fails to make the breakthrough over flights now. Santana Plessis was a beaten favourite here last Saturday and may have to settle for minor honours once again. Thousand Tears has some useful form to his name and should be able to make his presence felt with Martin Burke taking seven pounds off. Dunbar and Gearoid are two others for the shortlist, while it'll be interesting to see how the Copperwell, a newcomer from the Paul Nolan yard, fares.

MICK CHARLIE ran well on his debut for Declan Queally at Tramore last month and it might be worth taking a chance on the son of Mr Dinos in this open contest. In a first time hood, the eight-year-old gelding raced towards rear for much of that Graun Hill contest, making late gains to finish a never nearer fifth. That was his first try in handicap company and it'll be interesting to see if he can make an even greater impact now with Sean O'Keeffe taking a valuable five pounds off. In Your Shadow is likely to prove a popular choice with punters and it'll come as no surprise if he manages to follow-up on his Tipperary success here. Course and distance winner Musical Ava is another leading contender for John and Martin Burke, while others for the shortlist are the four-year-old Faerie Laws (first time cheekpieces), Gowran third Stadius and the Paul Fahey trained Headline Joe.

This step up in trip to three miles and a furlong should bring out the best in AFOREMENTIONED. A winner of a maiden hurdle at Limerick when trained by Joseph O'Brien, he ran a cracker to finish fourth when tried over three miles in a valuable handicap at the Fairyhouse Easter Festival in 2019. He also ran well to finish second on his debut for Gordon Elliott here last month and he since performed with credit when fourth to Polished Steel in a Grade 3 at Galway. Both of those recent efforts were over shorter trips and he should really appreciate the extra distance now. Doctor Duffy has been turned over at short odds on his two most recent outings. He is tried in a first time visor now and another bold bid looks likely with Cathal Landers taking five pounds off. Minellafordollars is probably best watched on his first run since September, while the four-year-old Bajan Excell is an interesting contender. A dual winner over flights, the son of Helmet gets a weight allowance here on account of his age and it'll come as no surprise if he manages to make his presence felt.

STAMP YOUR FEET was successful on his debut for Enda Bolger at Roscommon last month and he might be able to follow-up now. A four-time winner in the UK when trained by Tom George, the son of Galileo came from off the pace to win going away at Roscommon. He went up just six pounds for that success and looks capable of defying the rise. Quantatmental is an interesting contender on his handicap debut and the Gavin Cromwell trained five-year-old is given second preference. A dual winner over flights last year, the son of New Approach finished second to Capuccimix on his penultimate start at Naas. He since finished down the field over hurdles at Downpatrick, but looks capable of making his presence felt here off a mark of 123. Gordon Elliott saddles Cecil Corbett and Final List with both warranting respect. Top-weight Ask Nile has solid each-way claims, while Crazywork De Vassy and five-time winner Persian Wind are others to consider in this competitive heat.

It is difficult to make a strong case for any of the remainder. Elusive Specimen has race fitness on his side and looks capable of making his presence felt after finishing fifth at Gowran on his most recent start. Zaccarela also finished fifth over flights at Cork recently and has definite each-way claims, while Paul Fahey's Somme Solider and Staging Post, a newcomer from the in-form Mark McNiff yard, are others for the shortlist.
