Tom Dascombe and Richard Kingscote teamed up to win this race in both 2017 and 2019 and they appear to have another cracking chance with COMMONSENSICAL this time around. The Bated Breath colt left his debut performance well behind when three-parts of a length second at Haydock (fourth won next time) and he can whiz round here to make it third-time lucky. State Patrol made a promising debut at York and rates the biggest threat, although Elusive Artist, Tommy And Andy and Praise Of Shadows are all interesting newcomers.
Prediction : 1st Commonsensical 2nd State Patrol 3rd Elusive Artist

Simon & Ed Crisford have their string in great form at present and DIFFERENT FACE could prove them with another winner in this. James Doyle's mount has done little wrong in three starts to date and if breaking a little sharper than at Goodwood last time, she could prove tough to pass. Alongside her, Ready Freddie Go and Cuban Breeze will ensure there is an honest gallop and both of those have chances, while Power On also merits consideration after a blinding run in the Weatherbys Super Sprint.
Prediction : 1st Different Face 2nd Ready Freddie Go 3rd Power On

Leading course owner Dr Marwan Koukash has a couple of solid chances with Gabrial The Saint and Penwortham, while past C&D scorer Lincoln Park has been threatening to win and makes plenty of appeal with Silvestre De Sousa a positive jockey booking. However, marginal preference is for TRUE BLUE MOON. Tim Easterby continues to fire out the winners and this gelding ran well enough off a 1lb higher mark at York last time to suggest that he should be very competitive.
Prediction : 1st True Blue Moon 2nd Lincoln Park 3rd Gabrial The Saint

ZAMAANI is a colt on a sharp upward curve and really impressed with wins at both Windsor and Goodwood last month. He must concede 3lb and upwards to these rivals, but is potentially a Group performer and can get the job done. As good as he is, though, Mystery Smiles and Regional both looked smart when winning on debut and they should at least keep him honest, while local handler Tom Dascombe will be hoping for a good run from his Redcar scorer Fools Rush In.
Prediction : 1st Zamaani 2nd Mystery Smiles 3rd Regional

Dark Pursuit is a four-time winner in Doha, as well as landing a Down Royal maiden in 2018, and he is a fascinating player on his first start for Marco Botti, but EMARAATY ANA looks a more solid option. His comeback third behind subsequent Group 1 scorer Oxted in the Abernant Stakes at Newmarket shows that he's as well as ever at four and entitled to be further forward in terms of fitness, he is fancied to play a leading role. The three-year-old Keep Busy adds further spice to a cracking race.
Prediction : 1st Emaraaty Ana 2nd Dark Pursuit 3rd Keep Busy

If an on-song SKY DEFENDER turns up, because he is a fairly in-and-out performer, he could prove difficult to beat. The four-year-old was unable to back up his 22/1 Epsom success at York, but he looked better than ever when chasing home high-class stablemate Maydanny at Goodwood last time and the handicapper has generously left him alone. Desert Icon is 2lb lower than when a creditable seventh in the aforementioned York event and he warrants respect, while Data Protection and Restorer are others to note.
Prediction : 1st Sky Defender 2nd Desert Icon 3rd Data Protection

PACINO has shaped encouragingly in both starts since returning, particularly when a head second over 1m at Haydock last time, and he may improve for this step up in trip. If he does, he will likely go close from a handy draw. Dalanijujo is stuck out a little wider in 10 but ran well enough off the same mark at Windsor latest to be considered, while Olympic Conqueror and Power Of States complete the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Pacino 2nd Dalanijujo 3rd Olympic Conqueror

HEART OF SOUL looks the one to beat representing the same trainer/owner combination that won this race in 2018. A winner over C&D last year, he built on two pleasing efforts in defeat when scoring gamely at Hamilton latest and a 3lb rise probably won't be enough to anchor him. Gabrial The One is in the same ownership, is also proven here and arrives in good nick, although the bigger threat might be Edinburgh Castle, who bounced back to form on his latest outing at Ascot.
Prediction : 1st Heart Of Soul 2nd Edinburgh Castle 3rd Gabrial The One
