Bazaari shaped encouragingly when runner-up on his debut over 7f at Lingfield but a couple of those in behind that day have let the form down since, while Top Brass and Impulsive One both ran well enough first time out to suggest that they could be competitive. However, the experienced runners don't set a daunting standard so it could be a couple of newcomers that fight out the finish. Megallan is certainly bred to have plenty of ability, with his 1m2f Listed-winning dam a half-sister to the top-class Golden Horn, and he warrants respect, but LOCAL LAW gets the vote for a stable that do particularly well in this type of event. He is a half-brother to multiple winners, including dual Group 2 scorer Loxley, and is likely to know his job on debut.
Prediction : 1st Local Law 2nd Megallan 3rd Bazaari

There are a number of interesting newcomers in this line-up representing powerful connections, Keep Right On, Uss Nimitz and Oracle Of Omaha to name a few, but it could pay to side with the experience of OLYMPIC THEATRE. He has shaped encouragingly in both starts to date over 6f, including when third here on debut, and stepping up in distance will do him no harm whatsoever. He was sent off 6/4 favourite when runner-up at Windsor last time, suggesting that connections think a fair bit of him, and it might be a case of third-time lucky for Michael Bell's son of Mayson.
Prediction : 1st Olympic Theatre 2nd Keep Right On 3rd Uss Nimitz

BOSS POWER left his three performances in novice company well behind when scoring readily on his handicap debut over an extended 1m3f at Yarmouth last time. He was rock solid in the betting market that day, suggesting that the victory was no surprise to connections, and he is likely to improve again for this extra yardage, so gets the vote to defy a 7lb hike. Night Bear is another colt on the upgrade and only found subsequent winner Revolver too good at Haydock latest. He has a further 4lb rise to contend with but should run well, while Zuba is unlikely to be far away either.
Prediction : 1st Boss Power 2nd Night Bear 3rd Zuba

KARIBANA was value for further than the length and three quarters he won by over C&D at the start of the month having been checked at a crucial point in the race. The handicapper clearly thought the same, putting him up 6lb for that success, but Richard Hughes' colt is open to further progression and is capable of landing the hat-trick. Broughtons Gold stayed on well to score at Windsor on his latest outing and has to enter the reckoning, having won his sole outing over this trip at Kempton last October, while Black Caspian's recent York efforts give him every chance.
Prediction : 1st Karibana 2nd Broughtons Gold 3rd Black Caspian

CASE KEY attempts to land this contest for the third time having regained his crown 12 months ago. The seven-year-old arrives on the back of a solid effort, when second at Yarmouth to a hugely progressive filly in the shape of Aristocratic Lady, and Angus Villiers takes a handy 5lb off which will aid his cause further. Endowed is yet to kick on from his juvenile season but a wind operation since his latest start might see him bounce back, while Buccaneers Vault and My Style complete the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Case Key 2nd Endowed 3rd Buccaneers Vault

GREAT VIBES improved from her debut here when a close-up third in a warm maiden at Goodwood, with Teodolina one place behind her, and the half-sister to James Garfield is expected to progress again on her nursery debut off what appears to be a fair mark of 78. Ventura Diamond got off the mark at the second attempt when showing a nice attitude at Goodwood over 6f and she is likely to enter calculations along with Galah, who stepped forward when runner-up at Beverley.
Prediction : 1st Great Vibes 2nd Ventura Diamond 3rd Galah

ALABAMA WHITMAN has been running better than the bare results would suggest since joining the handicap ranks this summer, a point proven by the fact she was only beaten three and a half lengths behind a good winner when seventh last time. She is now tried in a visor and her mark has reduced by a further 3lb to a tempting figure of 85. Lalania made it back-to-back victories at Newbury and a fair 3lb rise gives her hope of further success, while Grande Rumore opened her account at Leicester earlier this month and makes plenty of appeal. Zezenia wasn't disgraced when third on her handicap bow at York and is also noted along with Wolflet, who has caught the eye in her appearances so far.
Prediction : 1st Alabama Whitman 2nd Lalania 3rd Grande Rumore

Squelch's unbeaten run ended at Salisbury on Thursday so it may be best to side with EXPRESSIONISM, who was second in a Listed contest over 1m4f here earlier this month and could be suited by further. Table Mountain took advantage of all the allowances to score over two miles at Ascot and is respected once again, with Roger Varian's hat-trick seeker Believe In Love also on the radar.
Prediction : 1st Expressionism 2nd Table Mountain 3rd Squelch
