In common with the selection, newcomers Earl Of Tyrone and expensive yearling Rekero have some big-race entries in the coming weeks and are worthy of consideration. Snowy Owl just failed to get off the mark when staying on well at Galway, and has his chance again but doesn't have any fancy entries.

FEARLESS GIRL ran well when fifth at the Curragh and, out of soft ground-loving Pivotal mare Girouette who was a Group 3 winner for Tracey Collins, can get off the mark on her fourth start. Talented 5lbs claimer Joey Sheridan takes the mount for a trainer who primes his horse for races at this picturesque venue. Tuned For Power was a fair third at the Galway Festival and can take a hand in the finish, while Chimeric is open to improvement after a fifth place finish behind The Rain King at the same venue. Moon Fever and Apricot Rose are newcomers to note, while I Know I Can was third to a useful-looking type at Dundalk after being first past the post (subsequently disqualified) at Sligo.

KRISTALL EYE ran well on handicap debut at Gowran Park and can get off the mark here. She's out of a Galileo mare who was a Listed-winning performer over middle distances, so going up in trip by a furlong should be a help to her. Her stablemate Petticoat Rule has run respectably in her maidens and isn't ruled out, while Myrcella has only gone up 1lb for three placed efforts in handicaps and has Colin Keane's assistance on this occasion. Rockview Empress is a possible improver towards the foot of the weights, while Divine Celt would be of great interest if getting in as a reserve having been caught on the line at Leopardstown last week.

Several of these ran in the big 2m amateur handicap won by Princess Zoe at Galway and DE NAME ESCAPES ME gets the vote to fare best of that group and land this valuable prize. Noel Meade's useful jumper was sixth at Ballybrit and, still open to a bit more improvement on the Flat, can reverse form with Golden Spear (third) and Zenon (fourth) with leading claimer Gavin Ryan taking off a useful 3lbs. Irish Derby also-ran Chiricahua won is maiden in good style at Down Royal and is a classy 3-year-old running in his first handicap, but Dalton Highway was rated only 80 when runer-up in last year's renewal and has a stiff task here off his current rating. Great Bear had some good hurdles form in the spring and may have come on a good bit for his recent comeback run at Galway.

CANFORD LIGHT was hampered at the start when a good fifth at Cork on Sunday and can go close here turning out again quickly. He'd also run well on handicap debut at Sligo and this trip should be fine for him. Lampetia came out on top in a messy race in a higher grade than this at Leopardstown, and is respected carrying a 6lbs penalty, while Pikaia ran well when fourth to subsequent winner Next In Line at Gowran. Celtic Crown was second over course and distance before winning at Ballinrobe (Brilliant Question behind in third) and her seventh at Galway came in a race that has worked out very well.

Some well-bred newcomers in what looks a competitive maiden but the once-raced LUGNAQUILLA is selected having had a nice break since June. Her debut run was a promising fourth to Ribblesdale and Epsom Oaks runner-up Ennistymon at Leopardstown and she can reverse form with Shamiyna (second on that occasion but disappointing twice since). Salsa was a good second to stablemate Snow at the Curragh and this will be more her level having made no impression in Group company the last twice. Among the newcomers to note are Zero Turn, a half-sister to Lowther winner Besharah and Kalakaua who's a half-sister to Irish Derby and Melbourne cup winner Rekindling.

BOLIVAR sluiced home by twelve lengths on heavy ground at Roscommon and can follow up here. He's up against some smart rivals but his proven ability on the likely soft ground will count for plenty. Keats is a likeable dual winner who scored over a mile here last month before placing in Listed company at Leopardstown. He'll be a big danger if handling conditions. Barbados showed more on his second start for his new trainer when chasing home Twilight Payment in a Group race at the Curragh, and was placed on soft at Royal Ascot last year. His proven stamina might stand to him here.

VITA VERITAS was placed at this track last year and comes here in good heart after a fine second-placed finish at Cork on Sunday. The Camelot filly can race off the same mark here and is due to go up 4lbs in future handicaps. A Few Bob Short won three last year and is still well treated. He'll be better for a comeback run at the Curragh last month. Day Dreamin' ran well at this track last month and is a lightly-raced filly open to more improvement, while Dream Point is also respected after being touched off at Tramore on Saturday.
