Pertemps Network Final Handicap Hurdle

THE BOSSES OSCAR finished a close second last time out in a qualifier for this and that form looks very solid. Before that, he was second behind Flooring Porter who went onto the Grade 1 Leoparstown Christmas Hurdle. The six-year-old finished fifth in the Martin Pipe at last year’s Festival after being hampered at the last. He’s been laid out for this for a long time so it’s no surprise to see him so strongly supported.

PAISLEY PARK won this in 2019 before disappointing last year but it was revealed after he had an irregular heartbeat. The nine-year-old has bounced back to form this season, with his latest victory in the Long Walk Hurdle showing he was back to somewhere near his best. He faces a strong challenge from the Irish but punters fancy Paisley Park to regain his crown.

Paddy Power Plate

THE SHUNTER has been gambled into a very strong favourite in the Plate and it’s easy to see why. Emmet Mullins’ eight-year-old has had a brilliant season, including winning the Greatwood Hurdle at Cheltenham in November. Most recently he won the Morebattle at Kelso which means he will net the £100,000 bonus if he can win this. The money is relentless for the favourite here and he’s now as short as 9/4.
