Mark Johnston had a superb day yesterday with four out of his nine runners winning and CAPITAL THEORY (best priced at 9-2) is expected to continue that good form. The son of Muhaarar has been sent off big prices in his two races so far but has performed with credit finishing 3rd and 4th respectively in strong maidens. He finished 3rd on his debut at Goodwood in a race that is working out well with the winner Imperial Fighter finishing 2nd in the Acomb Stakes, the second Ring Of Beara winning by four lengths on his next start, the third Devasboy winning a novice race last time, the fifth Tartan Chief winning twice since and even the seventh Khanjar winning on his next start.

Capital Theory was then sent to the Convivial Maiden at York at the Ebor meeting where he finished 4th staying on well over the 7f trip. This step up to a mile is sure to suit and he is expected to repel the challenge of well bred newcomers Frantastic, Chef De Partie and Israr.

Capital Theory - 0.5pts e/w @ 9/2

DOUBLE OR BUBBLE (best priced at 11-2) has progressed well this season for the Chris Wall stable and has improved from a mark of 91 up to 107 in her five starts this season. The daughter of Exceed and Excel is the sister to Mix And Mingle who relished the fast ground that she will encounter today. She won a listed race at Pontefract on her penultimate start over 6f keeping on well under Jack Mitchell before finishing 2nd in the Group 3 Supreme Stakes at Goodwood against the males.

Double or Bubble was only beaten by the impressive Toro Strike that day and pulled nearly two lengths clear of Rhoscolyn in 3rd. She has got a few pounds to find on ratings with both Highfield Princess and Just Beautiful but looks sure to run her race and I will be surprised if she were to finish out of the frame with four places on offer.

Double Or Bubble - 0.5pts e/w @ 11/2

The Paul Midgley trained TARBOOSH (best priced at 5-1) was a good record at Doncaster with form figures of 121 in his career. He won a handicap off a mark of 104 in 2018 before finishing 2nd in a listed race last season behind El Astronaute. The eight-year-old won this race last season by 1 ¼ lengths beating Urban Beat comfortably at the finish before having a wind operation over the winter.

Tarboosh is yet to win so far this season but only finished ¾ length behind Danzeno when 3rd in a conditions race at Nottingham on his penultimate start. The return to Doncaster will suit him and he should prove hard to beat under Connor Beasley.
