The Noel Meade trained Lady Of Inishfree (best priced at 9/2) outran odds of 28/1 to finish a close 4th in a listed race last time and should hold strong claims dropped back down in class. The daughter of Farhh finished an unlucky 6th on her debut at Gowran Park before finishing only three lengths behind the winner in a listed race at Leopardstown last month.

Lady Of Inishfree achieved the highest RPR in the field that day with a rating of 93 and she actually receives weight from the rest of the field in this race as a result of the conditions. Chris Hayes retains the partnership with the filly and I expect her to get off the mark on her third attempt.

On ratings Mother Country (best priced at 20/1) has to improve on her first run in a listed race but I feel she is overpriced for this contest. The Willie McCreery trained three-year-old won a maiden over this course and distance in June beating I Siyou Baby by a head with the pair pulling four lengths clear of the third. I Siyou Baby won her next three starts and is now rated 94 so the form of that race looks strong.

Mother Country was badly hampered on her next start at Galway but showed a good attitude to win at Gowran Park in September to make all by ½ length at the finish. The handicapper raised her 9lb for that victory and as a result connections have decided to step her up to this level and I think she may outrun her odds with up to five places available.
