The Katy Price trained Minellacelebration (best priced at 11/4) has fantastic form over the regulation fences at Aintree with form figures of 12114 in his career. The eleven-year-old won this race last season off a mark of 140 and should hold strong claims now he is back down to the same mark.

Minellacelebration was slightly disappointing towards the end of last season but goes well fresh (won off 171, 405, 138 and 111 day breaks) and he should now prove hard to beat back at his favourite track. Captain Chaos runs here without headgear so he looks as if this will be a run to drop him a pounds so the biggest danger appears to be Black Op who contests a veterans chase for the first time.

The Ann Hamilton trained Nuts Well (best priced at 6/1) won this race last season off a mark of 155 and despite now racing off 4lb higher, he should run well. The ten-year-old won at Kelso on his reappearance last season and connections have decided to use the same race again this year with him winning easily by 2 ½ lengths.

Following his win in this race last season, Nuts Well went on to finish 2nd in the Grade 1 Melling Chase over this course and distance behind Fakir D’oudairies when he had the reopposing Itchy Feet behind him. Despite that rival having a weight swing with the selection, Nuts Well should have a fitness edge over most of his rivals and I expect him to prove hard to beat.

This looks like a maiden hurdle worth keeping an eye on going forward and preference goes to the Paul Nicholls trained Gelino Bello (best priced at 15/8). The five-year-old made a winning debut at Plumpton in a bumper last season before finishing 3rd in a listed bumper at Newbury in February.

The form of that race is working out well with the 2nd I Like To Move It winning both of his starts over hurdles so far including the Masterson Holdings Hurdle yesterday and the 5th Might I winning by 11 lengths on his hurdling debut at Newton Abbott on Thursday. Paul Nicholls has started the season well so far and I expect Gelino Bello to make a winning debut over hurdles.
