I’ve had my eye on NO HUBS NO HOOBS (best price 7-2) for a while now and last season he just looked a big shell of a horse. I thought he shaped with ability without getting competitive and I had him down in my notes as a definite future improver once he works out what is required of him. He ran his best race to date back from a 220-day absence when fourth behind Skatman at Newton Abbot back in October. Given time again since stepping back up in trip now sent handicapping I think there’s good reason to expect further improvement. Helios Allen has a fairly similar profile to the selection and made a winning handicap debut at Chepstow last time. He has been put up 9lb but is still weighted to go close again and looks the main danger to the selection. Tip Top Cat won here last time but that didn’t look much of a race so he’ll need more against the two mentioned above.
