I thought WHITE PEPPER (best price 7/4) ran out a very impressive winner at Galway on just her second start over hurdles. She wasn’t even all that fluent over her hurdles but still came away to win by 13 lengths. I can see her improving again from that and if she does she will be a danger to all in here. This isn’t a bad renewal with some potentially decent types lining up but she may well be the most promising of them. Gavin Cromwell has done well with horses he has sent over here and I expect her to go off a well-backed favourite. Six Feet Apart impressed winning on hurdles debut at Fairyhouse and she looks the danger for Joseph O’Brien. Addosh fell at Cheltenham last time but her win at Market Rasen reads well and if she bounces back with a clean round I don’t expect her to be far away either.

I liked the way Castle Robin did it on chase debut at Exeter and he has to be respected but SAINT PALAIS (best price 9/4) also looked a horse on the up winning readily on chase debut at Worcester. I thought he jumped notably well while he is up 7lb the form has been franked since with the third Hawthorn Cottage winning her next start. He is weighted to go in again and gets a confident vote to follow up under Sean Quinlan. Castle Robin is the obvious danger and he has to be respected as I think he’s a nice horse going forward too. Sirwilliamwallace wasn’t disgraced when third at Kelso on return and if he strips fitter he should be best of the rest. He is still relatively lightly raced for his age so certainly shouldn’t be written off. The rest all look to be struggling on recent form to have something to find to get involved.
