This is competitive but I think AMPESON (best price 11/4) can bring up the hat-trick. He needed his first run of the season when down the field at Gowran but has done nothing but improve since then going close over 7f here in October before progressing to win over the same track and trip last month. He backed that up again in an apprentice event last week and given he is allowed to run off the same mark he should be finishing best of all. Jake Coen rode him to success last time and gets to claim his full 7lb here. The step back up to a mile can unlock further improvement and he has plenty going for him again. Royal Scholar remains in great form having won over C&D in October and finished a close third and an even closer second last time. He is the obvious danger I think but Harbanaker is also worth a second look as he was only beaten a length last month having made up good ground from off the pace.
