I’ve really liked what I’ve seen from BASS ROCK recently and even in defeat at Haydock last time I thought he ran a cracker. That was a strong race and he was right in there pitching until the last and even when headed he stuck to the task for third, miles clear from the rest. He is unexposed as a stayer and I’m almost certain there is more to come. I know this is no given but I’m surprised to see him 3/1 at the time of writing (I know he opened 7/2) as I think that is way too big. He has strong claims and is going to take a lot of pegging back. Flight Deck is on a fair mark but doesn’t jump well enough for me and I think he is opposable as second fav. Teescomponents Lad impressed winning at Market Rasen and he’ll be the danger if running to that sort of level again. Small Present is also in the mix on that form so also deserves a second look.
