The way FAUVETTE (best price 10-3) won over C&D last month was really impressive for the grade and while she was beaten at Lingfield last time that was a good race and the form looks solid. She is still handicapped to strike and while this is competitive I think she is the value play to make it 2-2 over track and trip. In a race where there is plenty of pace on it could set up perfectly for the selection who will be ridden quietly and look to swoop late. Sir Rodneyredblood has won here four times in the past and he is a good yardstick but he is off a career-high mark now so it’s a big ask. Restless Endeavour is also consistent and her form ties in with the latter but she also doesn’t look to have much in hand off her current mark. Mount Mogan could be the one to emerge as the main danger as he wasn’t beaten far at Lingfield and has run well at this track in the past.
