This is competitive but I’m going to chance CALICO (best price 10/3) to bounce back for Dan Skelton. This horse looked to be progressing well last season before finding graded company a bit too hot to handle in the Scottish Champion Hurdle. He had a wind op over the summer and looked to need the run when down the field at Ffos Las on return. He got racing too soon at Haydock last month but should come forward physically again from that. He has been eased another 3lb (now down 6lb since returning) and is handicapped to have a big say in the finish here. Elham Valley and Heure De Gloire should put good pace to the race and that is what he needs as he does have a tendency to do too much early on. Hudson De Grugy looks the danger to me having done it well at Sandown before struggling at that venue in better company last time. Miss Heritage is another one that could get involved at the business end.
