In receipt of weight all round INCOME should take plenty of beating at Wolverhampton on Wednesday. Richard Hughes’ filly by Profitable caught the eye going down just half a length at Chelmsford over 6f last time and if she can settle better back down to the minimum she should go close. The front pair pulled a couple of lengths clear from the rest last time so the form looks solid. She remains open to further improvement after just 4 starts and I think this looks a good opportunity for her to make the breakthrough. Minesbiggerthanurs did impress me winning at Kempton last time and he would be the danger with Theodore Ladd claiming a handy 3lb again. He enjoyed dictating last time though and he is likely to face pace pressure from Coolmeen Royal and possibly even Profit And Loss so it should set up nicely for the selection.

Despite a lengthy absence LA TIHATY looks the one to beat here for Roger Varian. This colt by New Bay won both starts after going down just a length on debut and looked a nice prospect in the making. It is slightly concerning we haven’t seen him for the best part of a year but he is entitled to improve now handicapping and the step up to a mile for the first time is also likely to suit. Alrehb chased home Tyrrhenian Sea when second at Newcastle on return and that horse won yesterday so the form has been franked. He looks the danger but his opening mark certainly isn’t a given. Hafeet Alain is battle hardened and only went down a head at Wolverhampton last time so off the same mark would also have to enter calculations. Hard to see much else getting involved but Uzincso does love this C&D having won over it 6 times now.
