I think it might pay to stick with BAVINGTON BOB here with Brian Hughes in the saddle. This horse was largely progressive over hurdles and he could potentially be even better over fences opening his account in this sphere at just the second time of asking over C&D 3 weeks ago. He got into a nice rhythm in the closing stages pinging 4 out and then biding his time before being asked to go and settle it. He jumped the last a fresh horse and nudged up just 1lb he should run a big race in a bid to follow up. Manetti won for the third time over fences in first-time cheekpieces at Ayr but doesn’t always convince in the jumping department. He is up 5lb in a better race here so might be opposable. Scoop The Pot also prevailed over C&D last time and might be the danger up 4lb if in the same form.

I’m going to chance STORM FORCE BEN to get off the mark over fences. This horse failed to win over hurdles but that was not for the want of trying recording some really solid form in defeat most notably when second to Sandymount Rose at Exeter. He caught the eye on chase debut finishing second before acquitting himself well in a tough handicap over the marathon trip last month. That was a gruelling race where nearly half the field were pulled up but he stuck to the task in likeable fashion for a good third. He remains open to further improvement and looks to have found the right race to make the breakthrough now. Both jockey and stable remain in good form which all help his chances. Lilith is likely the danger having pulled clear with the winner at Hereford but the form has taken a knock since.
