I liked what I saw from BRITZKA when he won by 6 lengths on debut over hurdles over track and trip last month. He was quickly pitched into a Grade 2 off the back of that and he wasn’t disgraced finishing third to unbeaten stablemate Fil Dor at Leopardstown. He made a mistake 2 out as the pace picked up and that just put him on the back foot somewhat. The winner looks a smart horse and the second has some strong form in the book so it was a good run I think despite the distance he was beaten. He is open to further improvement and with a tongue-tie fitted he should take all the beating here. Mullins is represented by Feigh so that filly has to be respected and her form ties in closely with the selection having been beaten by the same two horses so she is the most obvious danger.

This looks between the three last time out winners in the field but ready preference is for the improving MASQOOL. He looked unlucky to me going down just a nose over track and trip last month but quickly gained compensation winning over the same C&D on New Year’s Day. He ran on well and was nicely on top at the line. That was just his fifth run and only second in a handicap so you’d be foolish to rule out further improvement. A 3lb rise looks very lenient to me and he is a danger to all under Dougie Costello. Masham Moor impressed also clocking a career-best at Newcastle last time. A 6lb rise will make life tougher and he needs to back that up on this surface. Inexplicable certainly isn’t ruled out having won 3 of his last 4 but he might just be bumping into one here.
