I’m keen to side with ALABLAQ at Lingfield on Wednesday. This son of Lope De Vega clocked a career best beating Come On Girl over C&D last time and that was a really likeable effort. He has only been raised 2lb and while it was just a half length victory I thought there was lots to like about the way he came between horses to get there and for me was value for a bit more. Adam Kirby takes over in the saddle now and with a strong pace likely here I expect him to be finishing best. The danger looks to be Muhaarar colt Mobarhin who also ran his best race to date winning over C&D last time. He is up 3lb and should fight it out with the selection. Deputise missed out to the latter last time and is on a long losing run so shouldn’t be far away but is vulnerable from a win perspective.
