The likeable ROAD WARRIOR ended last season in fantastic form bringing up the hat-trick over C&D thrashing Getariver to win by 11 lengths. He has taken a while to come to hand this season but built on a very good third here before getting his head back in front over track and trip last month. That was a good effort making all and staying on gamely in the closing stages. He was beaten last time but certainly wasn’t disgraced and the winner was cashing in off a much-reduced mark. He runs off the same mark here and this looks a great opportunity for him to notch up another win with 10lb claimer Peter Coleman booked for the ride. The danger looks to be Just Call Me Al who is in a consistent run of form and should give his running again.

It’s a shame only 4 runners head to post for this but that makes it a great opportunity for CHECKITOUT to get himself back in the winner's enclosure. He looked a nice prospect beating Faustinovick easily over 3 miles at Southwell and backed that up at Ludlow over the same trip. Things didn’t go to plan after that but his three starts this season certainly shouldn’t be overlooked. He bumped into Larry at Ascot and then ran a cracker when third to Snow Leopardess at Aintree. That was a strong race and he backed it up when fifth at Ascot last time. The handicapper has eased him another couple of pounds and he will find this much easier. The biggest danger is Eaglehill who remains fairly unexposed and should give him something to think about.
