Skyhill ran well when fourth at Kelso last month beaten just 2 lengths but a 4lb swing might not be enough to reverse that form so I’m chancing TO THE LIMIT (best price 5/2) to come out on top again. He impressed me with how much he found off the bridle and he ran on strongly at the finish to win well. That was a career best of the figures and if he can reproduce that here I think it might be good enough to follow up. Gipsy Lee Rose has gone off the boil recently but if she can rediscover some of her old form that would make her a player at a price. Slainte Mhor would need the rain to really get in the ground to have a chance here. Tokaramore failed to land the hat-trick at Musselburgh last time but she is another one if returning to form could put up some sort of resistance to the selection.

This looks quite a good race but I’m keen to side with AL AMEEN (best price 9/4) for George Boughey. This colt by Aclaim left his debut run behind to win by just a short head at Southwell last month. He was slowly away that day but did really well to come with a big challenge late and narrowly prevailed at the line. He bumped into a nice horse in War In Heaven up to 6f at Lingfield last time and back down in trip he could make a winning handicap debut here off a mark of just 77. I think that underestimates him and with further improvement to come should make it 2 wins from his last 3 starts. The danger is likely Mehmas colt Shamlaan who wasn’t seen to best effect last time and if getting back to form off what could be a decent mark should give the selection a race. Adaay In Asia is also noted on tapeta debut.
