16:25 Fakenham

With 2 wins from her last 3 MIDNIGHT MARY (best price 5/2) looks the one to side with at Fakenham again on Wednesday. She is lightly raced for her age and was value for more than the winning margin over C&D last time as she idled close home. The field was nicely strung out so it was a real likeable effort. A 5lb rise doesn’t look enough to stop her to me and I think she can go in again. This trip clearly suits her well and with potential for a soft lead I think she ticks plenty of boxes. River Tyne went down just half a length at Leicester and before that chased home Hidor De Bersy over 2 miles here. She remains unexposed stepping up in trip so looks the danger to the favourite. Ruby Yeats is down to a dangerous mark but is an 11yo now and finished nearer last than first at Chepstow last month.

16:40 Sedgefield

Brian Hughes is riding the crest of a wave right now and has another good chance of a winner in LATINO FLING (best price 9/4) at Sedgefield on Wednesday. This mare has taken her form up a few notches since joining Donald McCain shaping with promise when second over further here on return in November. She backed that up when third to Cailin Dearg with the front 3 clear again here in December. She had a wind op after that and improved again to win impressively at Catterick last month. She is up 7lb but remains capable of better and should get a nice toe in off Ripplet before proving the stronger late. The danger looks to be fellow last time out winner Leeswood Lily who justified strong support over C&D and has more to come. This will be tougher under a penalty though and that sways the vote.
