I’m surprised TEMPUS (best price 4/1) isn’t shorter than 4/1 here. This son of Kingman won four times for Roger Charlton and looked a promising horse. He made a winning start for this yard at Newcastle last month and up just 4lb I think he can follow up here with Hollie Doyle in the saddle again. He found plenty for pressure last time and looked to cross the line with a bit in the locker. I think as long as he doesn’t get racing too early with Ayr Harbour who can go forward he should have enough in the tank to see these off. My Oberon is the flashy horse in the line-up with some very solid form in the book. He has won fresh before but this is competitive and he’ll need to be ready to fire to win on reappearance. Intuitive looks a greater danger to me having finished a good second last time. If he gets a better run through he should push the selection close.
