At 8/1 I’ve got to be with GAIA VALLIS (best price 8-1) at Lingfield on Tuesday. This mare was back in the winners' enclosure in a seller at Leicester back in November and remained in form to follow up in deep ground at Ffos Las last month. I thought she acquitted herself really well in defeat at Leicester last time and up in trip off the same mark she looks to have plenty going for her again here. She did all her best work late on the last day and ran on well at the finish. She still looks a horse potentially a bit ahead of her mark and I’m surprised how big she is in the market. Obviously a big field here so a few dangers with the main one probably being Shot Boii for David Pipe. He left previous form behind to win in first-time cheekpieces at Ffos Las and a 7lb rise probably looks fair with more to come. Advantura is also worth a second look with this stiffer test likely ideal.
