This is competitive but I still think it’s a good chance for UP FOR PAROL (best price 5/2) to get himself back in the winners enclosure. He won in the style of a progressive horse at Haydock back in December and I didn’t think he was disgraced when a good sixth in the Lanzarote at Kempton last month. That was a fiercely competitive event and he should appreciate returning to these calmer waters. He remains unexposed after just 6 runs over hurdles and should still be open to further improvement. Findthetime has won her last two and is going the right way so looks the danger despite a 5lb rise in a better race. At a bigger price Flash The Steel is worth a mention as he produced a career best to win at Newbury but this is his first start for some 14 months so should come on for it but could grab a place.

I thought there was lots to like about the way LAFAN (best price 11/4) beat Espresso Freddo over C&D last month and a 3lb rise for that looks lenient. Unforgiving Minute and Perfect Focus may end up taking each other on so I just expect Rossa Ryan to tuck in off what is hopefully a strong pace and he should be coming home best. He is 2-2 at this track so there could be further improvement to come yet given he is still just a 4yo. Camelot filly Prioritise looks the danger as she is largely unexposed and should find further improvement at some point. That run at Wolverhampton last time was disappointing though so does have a bit to prove on her return. Espresso Freddo obviously ties in with the selection so is unlikely to be far away again and Freedom And Wheat could also run well under Marco Ghiani.
