Steve Ryder is back with three selections for today's action.
13:35 Leicester
The Laura Morgan trained RADEKTZY MARCH (best priced at 6/4) made an impressive chasing debut earlier this month and should hold strong claims under a penalty. The seven-year-old won by 10 lengths at Fakenham off a mark of 77 when upped in trip to 2m5f for the first time and he races here 3lbs “well in” under a 7lb penalty.
Adam Wedge takes over from David Noonan on board and the pair are expected to follow up in this contest.
15:40 Clonmel
This looks a competitive 80-102 handicap but preference goes to DANCING JEREMY (best priced at 11/4) who gets the valuable assistance of Derek O’Connor in this race. The seven-year-old made a winning stable debut for Tom Cooper in January off a mark of 102 over fences before slightly disappointing on his return to hurdling last time.
In truth Bryan Cooper probably gave Dancing Jeremy too much to do that day and he eventually finished 4th off a mark of 98. He races here off 1lb higher and should prove hard to beat on heavy ground.
16:05 Sandown
DR KANAGA (best priced at 9/4) is a lightly raced eight-year-old who benefitted from the added endurance test over 3m2f on soft ground at Chepstow 13 days ago. He made all by 12 lengths that day under Ben Jones in impressive fashion and should hold strong claims of following up off a 12lb higher mark.
The drop back in trip to 3 miles is a slight negative but this should still be a sufficient stamina test on the soft ground and he should prove hard to beat.
