This looks a competitive 80-102 handicap but preference goes to DANCING JEREMY (best priced at 11-4) who gets the valuable assistance of Derek O’Connor in this race. The seven-year-old made a winning stable debut for Tom Cooper in January off a mark of 102 over fences before slightly disappointing on his return to hurdling last time.

In truth Bryan Cooper probably gave Dancing Jeremy too much to do that day and he eventually finished 4th off a mark of 98. He races here off 1lb higher and should prove hard to beat on heavy ground.

The return of the Europa League comes on Thursday evening and Rangers have a mammoth tie away against German giants Borussia Dortmund. One potential benefit for Rangers is the fitness doubt over Erling Haaland who is unlikely to feature at least from the start here after missing the 3-0 win over Union Berlin at the weekend.

Without Haaland, Dortmund have to slightly change tact as they don’t have a like for like replacement. Donyell Malen has had a disappointing campaign so far but BVB can always rely on long term stalwart Marco Reus to step up, he bagged a brace in Berlin on Sunday. The hosts also have doubts over the availability of Thomas Meunier, Marcel Schmelzer and Thorgan Hazard but there is enough depth in the squad to cope without that trio.

Rangers boss Giovanni Van Bronckhorst only has Ianis Hagi ruled out so Rangers will go to North Rhine Westphalia with a healthy contingent. There were some slight worries when Steven Gerrard left for Aston Villa but Van Bronckhorst deserves credit for keeping the Teddy Bears on a consistent level with the only poor point being the Old Firm loss to Celtic few weeks ago.

There will be space for the visitors to exploit on the counter-attack so we could see the direct and pacey Ryan Kent get a start, as well as Manchester United loanee Amad Diallo and they, should relish the opportunity of springing on the break and it would not be a surprise at all to see Rangers get on the scoresheet here. Dortmund seldom keep clean sheets and have conceded to much worse sides than the Scottish champions.

Both teams to score looks a cracking price at 17/20 then, I expected that to be more like a 4/6 shot in all honesty. Also, take a look at Dortmund full-backs in the card market, we don’t know if Marco Rose will shake up his starting eleven but should the aforementioned Kent and Diallo be starting on the wings they could easily draw a card from their counterparts.
