The Colin Tizzard trained AMARILLO SKY (best priced at 11/4) has shown improved form this season since novice chasing and should be able to make amends for a fall at the second last fence last month. The six-year-old had previously won at Wincanton off a mark of 128 before finishing 2nd at Ascot in December behind Brave Seasca. The pair pulled 8 ½ lengths clear of the third that day and the winner has since boosted the form and is now rated 18lbs higher. 

Amarillo Sky ran off a mark of 131 that day so looks well handicapped off only 4lbs higher in comparison and he would have won last time over this course and distance if he hadn’t have fallen at the second last fence. Barring mishaps I expect him to prove hard to beat. 

Manchester United sneaked into the top four midweek after beating Brighton at Old Trafford and despite all the negativity surrounding the club in recent months, they’ve only lost one game under Ralf Rangnick. It shows that they can still get results when they aren’t playing particularly well which is usually the hallmark of a side capable of winning a title but the eye test does show that this side are still miles off the levels of Liverpool and Manchester City.

They should be looking forward to this fixture though, it’s one they’ve revelled in since Leeds came back into the Premier League. They’ve put five and six past the Whites in two of their three meetings and it’s partly down to them exploiting the space Leeds leave for teams to counter-attack. It’s been well known for a while now that the Red Devils play their best stuff when they can spring on teams after soaking up pressure, but most teams have got wise to that.

However, Marcelo Bielsa is a man who often sticks to his principles so it would be a surprise if Leeds change their front-foot approach here. It could ultimately be to their detriment though and the near even-money quotes on the away side look fair enough. That being said, we know how strong Leeds can be going forward and they’ll fancy their chances of notching too so chancing the bigger price of 11/4 on Manchester United to win and both teams to score looks a nice way to get a touch of extra value.
