GYTO's Monday notebook double pays 7/1.
16:05 Carlisle
I really hope Carlisle gets the green light on Monday as I’m looking forward to seeing BAVINGTON BOB out again. He did well over hurdles winning 3 times and following an encouraging chase debut he has won both starts since powering clear at Newcastle last month. He stayed on strongly in the closing stages and looked to relish the trip. He is unexposed and even up 8lb I think he looks set to run a big race. This is competitive but I have him as the most likely winner so 15/8 at the time of writing looks appealing enough. Equus Dreamer represents in-form connections and could do better following a wind op so has to be feared. Up Helly Aa King was pulled up at Haydock but that run is probably worth forgiving and if he bounces back here he is another who will likely be in the mix.
16:15 Dundalk
With questions over the favourite Hypernova I think it’s worth chancing ANGEL GIRL at Dundalk on Monday. She is a promising filly by Dark Angel and she was only beaten two and three-quarter lengths on debut when fourth over C&D last month. She looked a bit clueless when asked to race but did stick to the task in a likeable fashion and while she never really threatened it was a good effort and she should be a lot sharper now. Hypernova did finish a neck in front of her that day but I’m confident with usual improvement from debut to second-up she should be able to reverse that. That’s solid form so the pair should battle this one out. Of the rest, Snow Lotus hasn’t been disgraced in two runs so far and can progress again to take a hand. Ten Coins also has a squeak if stepping forward on what we’ve seen.
