CALL THE TUNE (best price 3-1) is a progressive youngster, who came close to winning over fences on just his third chase start last time and appeals more than most in this large-field event. The eight-year-old has shaped with considerable promise in each start over timber and had previously produced his best hurdles effort when second over three-miles for the first time on heavy ground behind Ballyshannon Rose. That form looks really strong given the winner has subsequently won a Grade Two in this sphere, beating some very good horses, and being better off at the weights with Handsworth in their rematch here alongside the runner-up Krabat boosting that latest form to win next time out, this gelding by Gold Well should be very competitive here from only a two-pound higher mark than when last spotted with more to offer.

Chelsea managed to scrape a late victory at Selhurst Park on Saturday courtesy of a Hakim Ziyech strike. It was a pretty low quality affair with not a great deal of goalmouth action, nevertheless it was another welcome clean sheet for Thomas Tuchel’s charges.

The Blues will be eyeing up another shutout as French champions Lille come to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night, it was probably the most favourable draw for Chelsea in the last 16. Les Dogues struggled at home to lowly Metz on Friday, drawing 0-0. They’ve lost Jonathan Ikone to Fiorentina and have struggled for creativity this season.

Gaffer Jocelyn Gourvennec is likely to adopt a contain and counter approach and may even take a narrow 1 goal defeat as long as they’re still in with a decent shout in the reverse leg in Northern France. They should be able to stifle the hosts to some extent, Chelsea have been far from fluid in the final third with both Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku struggling for form and fitness.

One thing Chelsea do have though is incredible strength in depth so the options are plentiful for Thomas Tuchel. His side are best price 1/3 to win this clash but you can get a shade of odds-against about Chelsea to win and under 3.5 goals and that seems the best way to get them onside at a backable price.
