Arsenal have been ticking along nicely and somewhat under the radar and it’s fair to say they’re benefitting from keeping patience with Arteta as they’re looking to have a bit more identity about them which is garnering positive performances as well as results. They were one of the few teams to actually get the better of Wolves just a few weeks backing, nicking a 1-0 win at Molineux.
Both sides have been strong defensively, especially Wolves. Bruno Lage has seen only Manchester City concede more goals than his charges and he certainly will be in contention for the manager of the season if his side keeps up their impressive form. Lage will be delighted that he has diminutive duo Daniel Podence and Pedro Neto back available now which upgrades their attack significantly.
Arsenal do deserve respect for their home form and decent performance data but I’m not having them as 4/6 shots here against a serious opponent. Taking Wolves with a +1 start on the asian handicap looks a solid route to take, we’d only lose our stakes if Arsenal won by more than one goal. The draw also looks a big runner here given the low goal expectancy and odds of 3/1 look too generous to turn down.
