This looks a competitive mares novice chase but I am surprised that JEREMYS FLAME (best priced at 5/2) is a bigger price than both Dolcita and Minella Melody. The eight-year-old has form figures of 23212 this season and defeated Dolcita at Naas in January easily by eight lengths. Dolcita has won at Fairyhouse since by fourteen lengths to boost that form and the two meet on the same terms in this race.
Jeremys Flame finished 2nd in a Grade 2 Mares Novice Chase at Thurles 32 days ago when only beaten ½ length but she had the reopposing Minella Melody 5 ½ lengths behind her that day. That rival receives 5lbs from the selection in this race but I would expect Jeremys Flame to uphold the form and prove hard to beat.

The Kim Bailey yard are in fantastic form at present with four winners and four places from their previous nine runners and I expect LOTS OF LUCK (best priced at 3/1) to prove hard to beat in this race. The eight-year-old had dropped down the ratings to a mark of 102 when he won over this course and distance last time beating a short priced favourite by 2 ¼ lengths.

The handicapper has raised Lots Of Luck 5lbs up to a mark of 107 and he should prove competitive off that mark under the same conditions in this race. His main danger appears to be Dorking Lad who won at Wincanton last time but preference goes to Lots Of Luck with his proven course form.

The Stuart Coltherd trained WHEELBAHRI (best priced at 2/1) made all at Catterick 20 days ago and should prove hard to beat in this race off a 5lb higher mark. The eight-year-old has been running consistently well this season and was an impressive 4 ¼ length winner last time at Catterick under Derek Fox.
The runner-up Here We Have It has boosted the form since with a win at Leicester on his next start so it looks strong form and he won’t be inconvenienced by this return to soft ground. Sam Coltherd takes back over in the saddle and I expect him to prove hard to beat.
