It’s going to be a rare occasion for Manchester City on Saturday. They have to respond to a defeat. 

Despite creating a fair amount of good quality chances they were made to pay for giving away almost 2 xG which is something you rarely see this City side do. You wonder if that defeat will dent confidence as the talk inevitably comes back to whether the title race is back on. 

Thankfully for them, they face an Everton side who have struggled for momentum this season, they’re in a relegation battle, no doubt about it. Their current league form is poor but Frank Lampard will take heart from winning both his home games, one against Brentford in the cup and the other a deserved victory over Leeds. 

It’s hard to see the visitors not scoring a few past this porous Everton defence though and they’re rightful 2/7 favourites to win the game, it’s just about picking which way to support the away side at a backable price. 

It wouldn’t be a huge surprise if the Toffees did get on the scoresheet in front of their home fans. Despite their lowly position they have notched in 70% of games. With Manchester a city conceding in more away games than not it’s the 9/4 on them to win and both teams to score that makes appeal at the price.
