This looks like a great opportunity for CAMP BELAN (best price 7-2) to bounce back after unseating last time out when travelling well at Wetherby. He went into my notebook when stepping up in trip over fences with a good run to finish 2nd behind Ballyrath. If he was to run to the level with a clean round of jumping he will be the one to beat.

It doesn’t look a deep race with plenty of these pretty exposed compared to the selection and the main danger could be Moroszov Cocktail who has been running well and has been dropped a pound here.

My second notebook on Monday caught the eye on his handicap debut SHABS (best price 7-2) when just losing out over course and distance last month. He got beaten by a nose on the line by Major Gatsby who looks a useful sort. He gets to run off of the same mark here and with the natural improvement, he should go close.

A marginal favourite at the time of writing is Storm Asset who has won 2 of his last 3 but he is up 3lbs here and may find the selection has more scope for improvement.
