With Rebecca Menzies in such good form, recent C&D second TWOSHOTSOFTEQUILA can get himself back in the winner's enclosure on Sunday. He was beaten by just half a length and while a 5lb rise is a little harsh the front pair did pull 6 lengths clear from the third and the field was well strung out in behind. He remains unexposed, especially at this trip and I think all in all it looks a good opportunity for him to get back in the winner's enclosure. He will likely be switched off early again by Nathan Moscrop and if they go too hard up front he will be the one picking them off in the closing stages. The danger looks to be Zafar with Abbie McCain claiming a handy 5lb again. He impressed at Musselburgh on the penultimate start and if he brings that sort of form to the table he is the one most likely to battle it out with the selection.

I’m taking a bit of a chance with this one but I’m convinced ARCTIC WARRIOR is a horse to keep on side and if he can put in a clear round of jumping he should be too well handicapped for these. He looked a potentially exciting proposition winning by 11 lengths in a maiden hurdle at Sligo last summer. He hasn’t kicked on since pulling up in a novice hurdle at Tipperary jumping poorly and clearly not on a going day. He has been highly tried since pitching into a Grade 1 at Fairyhouse and then falling in another really good race at Leopardstown just after Christmas. He has still only had a handful of starts so likely well-schooled since and given time to get over that he could be ready to come good again now. Clifton Warrior looks the danger after running a very good second at Down Royal when last seen in January.
