Tuesday Racing Tips from Steve Ryder

The Laura Morgan trained SEEMINGLY SO (best priced at 2-1) won at Musselburgh last time from 7lb out of the handicap and should hold strong claims off only a 4lb higher mark. The nine-year-old had been well backed to win on his stable debut last season but fell when still travelling well and the trainer has stated that it was that fall that resulted in the gelding losing confidence.

Seemingly So is still well handicapped off a mark of 102 given his previous rating of 120 and I expect him to follow up with David Noonan taking over from Adam Wedge.

The Oliver Greenall stable are in good form at present with four winners and seven places from their previous fifteen runners and I expect HOMME PUBLIC (best priced at 11-2) to bounce back to form. The five-year-old ran well to finished 3rd on his reappearance off a mark of 123 at Haydock behind Celebre D’Allen before disappointing on his next two starts when upped in class.

Homme Public now drops in class from a Class 2 handicap to a Class 4 0-115 handicap off top weight and he looks well handicapped off a mark of 117. Connections have booked talented 7lb claimer Toby Wyne to take off more weight and he should prove hard to beat if coping with the faster ground.

There are a couple of interesting newcomers in the shape of On Reflection and Wheresthebarbil but they will need to run up to a good standard to stop KHURUMBI (best priced at 11-4) getting off the mark at the third attempt. The Edward Bethell trained three-year-old has finished 4th on both of her two career starts to date at Newcastle and the form of those are working out well.

Khurumbi finished behind Azure Blue on her debut with subsequent winners Invasive, Sweet Mist finishing in front of her in 2nd and 3rd. The form of her latest start was boosted by the third Anthem National winning on his next start so she should be good enough to win a maiden and this doesn’t look the strongest of contests.
